Seresto^® 4.50 g + 2.03 g collar for dogs > 8 kg,

Areas of application: For the prevention and treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis, C. canis) with a duration of action of 7 to 8 months. The veterinary medicinal product prevents the development of flea larvae in the immediate environment of the animal for 8 months. The veterinary drug can be used as part of the treatment strategy for flea bite infections allergic skin inflammation (flea allergy dermatitis, FAD). The veterinary medicinal product has a persistent acaricidal (killing) effect Tick infestation with Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor reticulatus, as well as a repellent (anti-feeding = preventing blood meal) effect Tick infestation (Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus) with a lasting effect of 8 months. The veterinary medicinal product is effective against larvae, nymphs and adult ticks. Since we have a year for ticks this year, Seresto was needed again, and there have hardly been any ticks since then.

In contrast, all previous measures against ticks are orphans. Not a single tick was found on our dog after the collar was on for about 3 days. I am thrilled and will buy the same collar again this year. Before that - with other, not the cheapest, means - sometimes several ticks were found per day!
