Instructions for use for ADVANTAGE 250 solution for dogs 10-25 kg, 4 pcs

Advantage 250 F. Dogs single-dose pipettes
for dogs = 10 kg
Advantage® spot-on solution for dogs, cats and pet rabbits.

Active ingredient: imidacloprid.
Composition: 1 ml solution contains 100 mg imidacloprid and 1 mg butylated hydroxytoluene.
Other ingredients: benzyl alcohol, propylene carbonate. Filling quantities: Dog : 0.4 ml, 0.8 ml, 1.0 ml, 2.5 ml or 4.0 ml. Cat and rabbit: 0.4 ml or 0.8 ml.

Application areas:
For the prevention and treatment of flea infestations in dogs and cats, for the treatment of biting lice (Trichodectes canis) infestations in dogs and for the treatment of flea infestations in pet rabbits. The veterinary medicinal product can be used in dogs and cats as part of the treatment strategy for allergic skin inflammation caused by flea bites (flea allergy dermatitis, FAD). Advantage® for Dogs: Fleas on the dog are killed&pouml;tet within 24 hours of using Advantage®. A single treatment is effective against fleas for 4 weeks.

Advantage® for cats and pet rabbits: Fleas on the animal are killed within a day of treatment. A single treatment is effective against fleas on cats for 3 to 4 weeks and on pet rabbits for up to a week.

Contraindications: Do not use in puppies less than 8 weeks old. Do not use in rabbits intended for human consumption. Do not use in pet rabbits less than 10 weeks old. Not Use if you have a known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients.

Side effects: The veterinary medicinal product tastes bitter. Therefore, licking the application site immediately after applying the solution may cause drooling. This is not a sign of poisoning and will subside after a few minutes without further treatment (see also section Type and duration of Application). In very rare cases, skin reactions such as temporary hair loss, redness, itching and/or an inflammatory reaction at the application site may occur in cats and rabbits. In exceptional cases, signs of restlessness, excessive salivation and nervous symptoms such as incoordination, tremors and fatigue have also been reported in cats.

Interactions: No indications of clinical intolerance have been observed following co-administration of Advantage at twice the therapeutic dose with the following medicinal products commonly used in veterinary medicine observed: lufenuron, pyrantel and praziquantel (cats). The compatibility of Advantage with a range of other routine therapies, including vaccination, has also been demonstrated under field conditions.
