Bekunis^® BIO Indian psyllium husks are used for occasional mild constipation and digestive problems. They contain particularly effective dietary fibers as well as swelling and lubricating substances that bind many times their own weight in liquid and transport it into the intestine. The intestinal contents become softer, increase in volume and thus stimulate natural intestinal movement.

In addition, Bekunis^® ORGANIC Indian psyllium husks are particularly filling, well tolerated, tasteless and can be easily integrated into the daily diet. Indian psyllium is vegan and also a valuable part of a gluten-free diet.

Worth knowing about ORGANIC Indian psyllium husks
Flea seeds are the capsule fruits of a plant known as Indian psyllium (Plantago ovata). The 2 mm large, brownish seeds got their name because from afar they can be reminiscent of the small, stinging pests.
The seed shells are particularly rich in soluble fiber and have a high swelling capacity. In contrast to other fiber suppliers such as wheat bran or flaxseed, they bind many times more liquid due to their enormous swelling capacity. They also contain 20-30% mucilage, which supports natural intestinal movement (intestinal peristalsis) and digestion.

Recommended intake:
2 x daily 3 g (approx. 1 slightly heaped teaspoon) in approx. 200 ml water or juice, stir well, leave to swell for 1-2 minutes and drink. Then drink 1-2 more glasses of liquid. Flea seed husks can also be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as for children over 6 years of age.
