Field of use

• This medicine is a mineral preparation that contains the active ingredient Histidin-Hemizink 2H₂O.
• For treating clinically secured zinc deficiency, unless they can be remedied by changing your diet.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken,
  • if you are allergic to Histidin-Hemizink 2H₂O or one of the other components of this drug

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• The recommended dose is:
  • Adult:
    • Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, take 1 hard capsule (corresponding to 15 mg zinc) once a day.

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • Overdosing can only be expected when taking a very large amount of this drug. Symptoms such as metal taste on the tongue, headache, diarrhea, diarrhea or vomiting can then occur quickly, which, however, quickly subside after the drug has been stopped.

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • Do not take the double amount if you have forgotten the prior intake.
  • Continue the treatment with the dosage, as is intended in the dosage recommendation.

• If you cancel the intake
  • Do not change the dose listed here.
  • If you take the medicine on the advice of a doctor, please consult your doctor before stopping the treatment.

Taking

• The medicine is only intended to take.
• Take the hard capsule about 1 hour before a meal. If you have problems taking the hard capsule, you can also stir in their content into a liquid (e.g. water, fruit juices).

• Wateriness and the ability to operate machines
  • The preparation has no influence on the traffic and the ability to use machines.

Pregnancy

• When you are pregnant or breastfeeding, oif you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
• In the case of clinically secured zinc deficiency, which cannot be remedied through food, there are no objections to the dosage intended against administration of the preparation.

Therapy monitoring/control measures:
- With a long -term high -dose use of zinc (50 mg daily), copper should also be monitored in addition to zinc.
- If copper deficiency triggered by zinc, anemia, lack of certain white blood cells (neutropenia) and immune deficiency can occur.
