Contradictions

• This medicine must not be taken
  • if you are allergic to pancreatic powder, pork or other components of this medicine
  • if you suffer from acute inflammation of the pancreas or have an acute thrust of chronic inflammation of the pancreas during the fully pronounced phase of disease. dosage

• Dosage
  • The recommended dose is:

  • A daily enzyme dose of 15,000 to 20,000 units lipase per kilogram of body weight should not be exceeded. Especially in patients with cystic fibrosis, the enzyme dose should not be higher than necessary for an appropriate fat recording.

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of the application is not subject to any limitation. It depends on the course of the disease and is determined by the doctor. If you don't feel better or worse, contact your doctor.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • Drink a lot of water and speak to your doctor or pharmacist. Extremely high doses of pancreatic powder can lead to an increase in uric acid in the blood (hyperuricaemia) and urine (hyperuricauria), especially in cystic fibrosis patients.

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • Do not take the double amount if you have forgotten the prior intake, but please continue with the treatment as recommended.

• If you cancel the intake
  • If you end or interrupt the treatment prematurely, you have to expect your symptoms to return. Take consulting with your doctor.

Taking

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using all medicines.
• There is no sufficient experience with the application of the drug in pregnant women. There are insufficient data from animal experimental studies in relation to pregnancy, development of the unborn child, childbirth and development of the child after birth.
