For shoe disinfection in athlete's foot and nail fungus
Athlete's foot and nail fungus are widespread civilization diseases. In Germany, around 15 to 20% of the population are affected by contagious fungal diseases.
If unpleasant foot and nail fungus infections do not heal completely or keep recurring, the footwear can be to blame. In its warm, humid environment there are optimal living conditions for fungal pathogens, so that the microorganisms can survive in worn shoes for a long time. Regular shoe disinfection is therefore particularly important in the case of contagious diseases such as athlete's foot and nail fungus in order to prevent re-infection through one's own shoes.
Myfungar® shoe spray was specially developed to combat athlete's foot and nail fungi. The spray is easy to use and reliably eliminates bacteria, viruses and fungi. With regular use, it offers effective protection against infection and re-infection.

Myfungar® shoe spray was specifically developed to disinfect shoes with athlete's foot and nail fungus infections. With regular use, the spray protects against re-infection through your own shoes.
The shoe spray reliably eliminates bacteria, viruses and fungal pathogens, and eliminates unpleasant odors in shoes quickly and for a long time. Lavender oil, octopirox® and zinc ricinoleate support the effect against odor and pathogens.
APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION:
Spray the inside of the shoes evenly with 5 to 7 sprays of Myfungar® shoe spray. Let the disinfectant work for at least 10 minutes. Shoe disinfection should be repeated regularly in the case of acute foot and nail fungus infections and to prevent re-infection.
COMFORTABLE FOOTWEAR
In order to avoid fungal infections on the feet, you should not only choose shoes according to fashion criteria, but also make sure that they are comfortable and wide enough. Shoes that are too tight can cause pressure points and small injuries to the skin and nails, through which fungal pathogens can easily penetrate.
SWEATY FEET
Mushrooms feel particularly comfortable in the warm, humid climate of sweaty shoes. If your feet sweat a lot, you should disinfect your shoes regularly. This can not only prevent a fungal infection, but also eliminates unpleasant odors quickly and for a long time.
RENTAL SHOES
Rented ski boots or ice skates are a real haven for fungal pathogens. Treatment with a reliable disinfectant spray can reduce the risk of infection and avoid spreading the pathogens if you are infected.

How often can I treat my shoes with a bottle of shoe spray?
Myfungar® shoe spray is available in pharmacies in two pack sizes: 100 ml and 25 ml. The 100 ml bottle is sufficient for approx. 100 applications and is therefore sufficient to disinfect 50 pairs of shoes. The 25 ml bottle is particularly practical for shoe disinfection on the go (e.g. during sports) and when travelling.
Can I avoid athlete's foot in rental shoes if I wear socks?
While many people assume that stockings can protect against fungal spores in borrowed shoes, unfortunately this is not the case. If you wear the rental shoes for a longer period of time, infected skin cells also penetrate the socks.
This also applies if you are infected yourself: the fungal pathogens can also get into your shoes through stockings and thus pose a risk of infection for other people.
Why is there an increased risk of fungal infections when exercising?
When jogging and other sports that require a lot of running, such as football or tennis, as well as when hiking, feet and toenails are heavily stressed due to the mechanical abrasion in the shoe. During sprints, quick changes of direction or sudden stops, the toes often slip against the tip of the shoe. This can lead to micro-injuries through which fungal pathogens can easily penetrate the skin and nails.
However, due to the increasing range of breathable shoes and stockings, heavy sweating in sports shoes is a declining cause of athlete's foot infections.
