1. What is Ginkgovital Heumann and what is it used for?

Ginkgovital Heumann contains a dry extract of Ginkgo-Biloba leaves.
Ginkgovital Heumann is a herbal medicine for improving age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life with slight dementia.

2. What should you pay attention to Heumann before taking Ginkgovital?

Ginkgovital Heumann may not be taken.

• if they are allergic to ginkgo-biloba extract or one of the other ingredients of this medicine referred to in section 6.
• during pregnancy.

Warnings and Precautions:
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Ginkgovital Heumann,

• if you have a morbid elevated bleeding tendency (Hemorrhagic diethesis), as well as simultaneous treatment with blood thinning drugs.
• if you know a canceling (epilepsy.
• if an operation is planned in the next 3 to 4 days.
• if you take efavirenz (see "Taking Ginkgovital Heumann along with other medicines").

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if the symptoms worsen under treatment with Ginkgovital Heumann.

Children and adolescents:
There is no relevant field of application for children and adolescents.

Taking Ginkgovital Heumann together with other medicines:
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you apply other medicines, recently applied other medicines or intend to apply other medicines. This also includes drugs that you bought without prescription. Ginkgo can influence the mode of action of other medicines. Therefore do not take this medicine before consulting your doctor,

• if they are blood clotting-inhibiting medicines (eg Phenprocoumon and Warfarin) or thrombocyte aggregation inhibitors (eg. B. Clopidogrel, acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
• if you take Dabigatran.
• if you take Nifedipine.

Simultaneous intake of ginkgo-biloba prepa rates and efavirenz is not recommended; Plasma concentrations of efavirenz can be reduced.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suspect, be pregnant, or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
> Pregnancy:
Since there are individual indications that ginkgo-containing preparations could increase bleeding, this medicine may not be taken during pregnancy (see section 2. "Ginkgovital Heumann may not be taken").
> Latving:
This medicine should not be used during lactation, as there are no sufficient investigations. It is not known if the ingredients of the extract go into breast milk.

Driving and ability to operate machines:
Your doctor will tell you if your illness allows you to drive and use machines. There were no sufficient studies on the impact on the ability to drive and use machines.

Ginkgovital Heumann contains lactose and glucose:
Please take Ginkgovital Heumann only after consulting with your doctor if you are known to suffer from any intolerance to certain sugars.

3. What is Ginkgovital Heumann taking?

Always take this medicine exactly after consultation with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage:
The recommended dose is for adults and elderly patients 1 1/2 Ginkgovital Heumann 80 mg film-coated tablets twice a day. The twice daily ingestion should be done in the morning and in the evening. The tablet can be shared in the same doses.

Application in children and adolescents:
There is no relevant field of application for children and adolescents.

Special patient groups:
There are no data for dosing in the case of restricted kidney or liver function.

Type of application:
Ginkgovital Heumann should be taken orally. Do not take the tablets lying on the back. The tablets should be swallowed as a whole (not chewed) with liquid, best with a glass of drinking water. The intake can be done independently of meals.

Application duration:
The treatment should be at least 8 weeks. If after 3 Months have no improvement of the symptoms occurred or the disease symptoms are enhanced by the doctor to check whether the continuation of treatment is still justified.

If you have taken a greater amount of Ginkgovital Heumann than you should:
No cases of overdose are known. You could be strengthened symptoms as in section 4. "Which side effects are possible?" suffer. If you take an overdose to Ginkgovital Heumann, contact your doctor or are looking for medical advice as you may need medical treatment.

If you forget to take Ginkgovital Heumann:
Do not take the double amount when you forget the previous taking.

4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, this medicine can also have side effects, but they do not have to occur each other.

Unknown (frequency based on the available data not estimable):	Bleeding of individual organs (eyes, nose, brain and gastrointestinal bleeding), hypersensitivity reactioNEN (allergic shock), allergic skin reactions (skin extraction, edema, itching and rash)

5. How to keep Ginkgovital Heumann?

Keep this medicine inaccessible to children. This medicinal product does not require special storage conditions. You may not use this medicine after the expiry date specified on the outer carton and blister pack. The expiration date refers to the last day of the specified month. Do not dispose of medicines in the wastewater. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine if you do not use it anymore. You help to protect our environment.

What Ginkgovital Heumann

The active ingredient is: Ginkgo-Biloba leaves dry extract.
A film tablet contains 80 mg quantified, refined dry extract of ginkgo-biloba leaves (35 - 67: 1. Extract funds: acetone 60% (m / m)). The extract is quantified to 22.0 - 27.0% flavonoids calculated as flavonol glycosides, 2.8 - 3.4% ginkgolide A, B and C, 2.6 - 3.2% bilobalide and contains at most 5 ppm ginkglian acids.

The other ingredients are:
> Tablet core: Croscarmello sodium, high-dispenser silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (pH. EUR.) vegetable, microcrystalline cellulose, spray-dried glucose syrup;
> Tablet film: Macrogol 3350, polyvinyl alcohol, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), iron (LLL) -hydroxide oxide x H20 (E 172).

How Ginkgovital Heumann looks like and content of the pack:
Ginkgovital Heumann is a yellow, oval film tablet with a break grill on both sides. PVC / PVDC / aluminum blister.
Pack sizes: 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 90, 100, 120, 200 and 500 Film tablets. Not all pack sizes may be placed on the market.
