From the desire to have children to the end of the 12th week of pregnancy. Take a tablet with sufficient liquid every day.

The supplementary absorption of folic acid increases the folding level in pregnant women. A low folding level is a risk factor in pregnant women for the development of neural tube defects in the growing fetus. The positive effect occurs with a supplementary absorption of 400 μg folic acid daily over a period of at least one month before and up to three months after conception. However, neural tube defects can also have different causes than inadequate supply of folic acid. The increase in the folding level cannot always prevent the development of neural tube defects.
