How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory at the same time. The drug also has antirheumatic properties. It blocks the formation of certain messenger substances in the body, so-called prostaglandins. These are significantly involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.

- Children under 14 years: The medicine must not be used.

What about pregnancy and lactation?
- Pregnancy: consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the drug can be used during pregnancy.
- Breast-feeding: consult your doctor or pharmacist. He will examine your particular starting position and advise you accordingly as to whether and how you can continue breastfeeding.

If you have been prescribed the drug despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit can be higher than the risk that the use entails in the event of a contraindication.

Side effects

What adverse effects may occur?

- Skin hypersensitivity reactions such as:
- Itching
- Skin redness
- Skin rash
- Inflammatory reactions of the skin
- Contact dermatitis (allergic skin reactions that only occur with repeated use)
- Eczema

What should you consider?
- Caution: Patients with nasal polyps, chronic respiratory infections, asthma or who are prone to allergic reactions such as hay fever: the medicine can trigger an asthma attack or a severe allergic skin reaction. Therefor consult your doctor before usage.
- Be careful if you are allergic to painkillers!
- Antioxidants (e.g. butylated hydroxyanisole, butylated hydroxytoluene) can cause skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis), irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.
- Solvents (e.g. propylene glycol, E 477) can cause skin irritation.

Field of use

DicloADGC Pain Gel Forte 20 mg/g (pack size: 150 g) contains the active ingredient diclofenac, which belongs to the drug group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). For the short-term local, symptomatic treatment of mild to moderately severe pain associated with acute strains, sprains or contusions resulting from blunt trauma.

DicloADGC Pain Gel Forte 20 mg/g (pack size: 150 g) contains:

The active substance is: diclofenac. 1 g contains 23.2 mg diclofenac-N-ethylethanamine, equivalent to 20 mg diclofenac sodium.

The other ingredients are: Carbomer 974P, cocoyl caprylocaprate (Ph.Eur.), macrogolcetylstearyl ether (Ph.Eur.) (22 EO-units), thick paraffin, N-ethylethanamine, 2-propanol (Ph.Eur.), propylene glycol (E 1520). ), oleic acid (E 570), butylated hydroxytoluene (E 321), perfume oil (contains citronellol, geraniol, benzyl alcohol (E 1519), linalool, D-limonene, citral, farnesol, coumarin, eugenol), purified water.

Contraindications

• The drug must not be used,
  • if you are allergic to diclofenac or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
  • if you have ever had a reaction to breathing problems (asthma, bronchospasm), hives, runny nose or swelling of the face or tongue after taking acetylsalicylic acid or any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (e.g. ibuprofen);
  • on open injuries, inflammation or infections of the skin as well as on eczema or mucous membranes;
  • in the last trimester of pregnancy.
  • in children and adolescents under 14 years of age.

dosage

Recommended use of Diclo-ADGC Pain Gel Forte 20 Mg/g (pack size: 150 g):

DicloADGC Pain Gel Forte 20 mg/g (pack size: 150 g) is applied to the affected area of skin twice a day (preferably in the morning and evening). A cherry to walnut-sized amount is sufficient. Then wash your hands.

The gel can be applied under a non-occlusive dressing, but not under an airtight occlusive dressing. Allow the gel to dry before applying it to the skin.

DICLO-ADGC® must not be applied to the eyes or mucous membranes or ingested. It may only be used on intact, non-diseased and non-injured skin.

How long is DICLO-ADGC® used?
DICLO-ADGC ® should not be used for longer than 1 week without medical advice. If the symptoms do not subside after 3 - 5 days or if they worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

DICLO-ADGC® is generally suitable for adults and young people aged 14 and over.

Revenue

• Before first use, open the tube as follows:
  • 1. Unscrew the cap from the tube. To open the security seal, turn the cap over and place it over the opening of the tube. You must not use scissors or other pointed objects!
  • 2. Remove the plastic seal from the tube by twisting. Apply the gel as directed. If the seal is broken, do not use the medicine.
• Applying the gel:
  • The gel is intended for use on the skin.
  • Apply the gel thinly to the affected parts of the body and rub it gently into the skin. Wash your hands after rubbing the gel in, unless this is the area to be treated.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
  • If you suffer from asthma, hay fever, swelling of the nasal mucosa (so-called nasal polyps) or chronic bronchoconstricting (obstructive) airway diseases, chronic airway infections (especially in connection with hay fever-like symptoms) or hypersensitivity to other painkillers and rheumatism drugs of all kinds, you are at risk of asthma attacks (so-called Analgesic intolerance/analgesic asthma), local swelling of the skin or mucous membranes (so-called Quincke's edema) or urticaria are more at risk than other patients.
  • In these patients, this medicine may only be used under certain precautionary measures (emergency preparedness) and under direct medical supervision. The same applies to patients who are also allergic to other substances, e.g. B. with skin reactions, itching or hives.
  • If the gel is applied to large areas of the skin and used over a longer period of time, the occurrence of systemic (affecting the whole body) side effects due to the use of the preparation cannot be ruled out. The gel should therefore be used with caution in patients with impaired kidney, heart or liver function and in patients with active peptic ulcers in the stomach or duodenum.
  • The medicine should only be applied to intact, non-diseased or injured skin. Eyes and mucous membranes must not come into contact with the medicine and it must not be ingested.
  • After applying the gel to the skin, you can use a permeable (non-occlusive) bandage. Before applying a bandage, however, the gel should dry on the skin for a few minutes. You must not use an airtight occlusive dressing.
  • Consult a doctor if symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3-5 days.
  • Discontinue treatment if a rash occurs during treatment with the preparation.
  • If you are exposed to direct sunlight or artificial tanning, there is a risk of skin reactions. You should avoid sunlight or artificial tanning during and up to two weeks after the treatment.
  • Care should be taken to ensure that children do not come into contact with rubbed areas of the skin.
  • Children and young people
    • This medicine must not be used in children and adolescents under 14 years of age.

• Ability to drive and use machines
  • The preparation has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
• Pregnancy
  • Do not use this medicine during the last trimester of pregnancy as it may harm the unborn baby or cause problems during delivery. If you intend to become pregnant, as well as in the first and second trimester of pregnancy, the preparation should only be used after consulting a doctor.
• Lactation
  • Since diclofenac passes into breast milk in small amounts, the drug should only be used under medical supervision during breastfeeding. If you are breastfeeding, do not use this supplement on the chest or otherwise on large areas of skin or for long periods of time.
