Field of use

• What is the drug?
  • The preparation contains desloratadine, which is one of the antihistamines.
• How does the drug work?
  • It is an anti -allergic medicine that does not make it sleepy. It helps to control your allergic reaction and their symptoms.
• When is the medicine to be applied?
  • The preparation improves the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (by an allergy caused by an allergy inflammation of the nasal passages, such as hay fever or house dust mite allergy) in adults and adolescents aged 12 and over. These symptoms contain sneezing, running or itchy nose, itching on the palate and itchy, red or tearful eyes.
  • Desloratadin is also used to eliminate the symptoms related to urticaria (caused by an allergy). These symptoms contain itching and whispering.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken,

dosage

• Adults and young people (from 12 years):
  • The recommended dosage is one tablet once a day with water, with or without food.

• Duration of the application
  • With regard to the duration of treatment, your doctor will determine the type of allergic rhinitis from which you suffer and will then determine how long you should take desloratadine.
  • If your allergic rhinitis is intermittent (the symptoms occur less often than 4 days a week or last less than 4 weeks), your doctor will recommend a treatment scheme that depends on your previous illness.
  • If your allergic rhinitis is persistent (the symptoms occur 4 or more days a week and last more than 4 weeks), your doctor can recommend a longer -term treatment.
  • At Urtikaria, the treatment duration can differ from patient to patient. Therefore, you should follow your doctor's instructions.

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • Take Desloratadin only as it was prescribed. With an accidental overdose, no serious problems can be expected. If you have taken more desloratadine than you should, contact your doctor, pharmacist or medical staff immediately.

• If you forgot to take Desloratadin
  • If you have forgotten to take your dose in good time, take it as soon as possible and then follow the normal treatment plan again.
