Coaguchek XS measures the time from the first contact of the blood sample with thromboplastin to insert the coagulation and calculates this value with the help of a calibration curve into INR or % Quick. The Coaguchek XS PT test strip contains a reagent in dried form, the reactive components of which consist of the thromboplastin - a recombinant human tissue factor (HRTF) - and a peptide substrate.
