Field of use

• The preparation is an active ingredient nail polish. It contains the active ingredient Ciclopirox, which belongs to a group of medicines called Antimyotika. Ciclopirox penetrates the nail plate and has a mushroom killing effect on all important causes of nail mushroom diseases.
• It is used to treat nail piling infections (onychomycoses).

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used,
  • if you are allergic to Ciclopirox or one of the other components of this drug.
  • for children, since there is currently no sufficient experience in this age group
  • during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

dosage

• Always apply this medicine exactly as described or according to your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• During the duration of use, you should remove the complete lacquer layer once a week with an alcohol swab that is available in stores. During this process, you should also remove heavily horned material as possible with a disposable nail file from the nail plate.
• If the lacquer layer is damaged between two applications, it is sufficient if you only brush the stripped areas with sufficient nail polish.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of treatment depends on the extent of the infection, but should not exceed 6 months.

 

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • Cases of overdose have not been reported.

 

• If you have forgotten the application
  • Do not apply twice the amount if you have forgotten the previous application. Continue treatment as recommended by your doctor or as explained.

 

• You cancel the application
  • If you cancel the treatment with the preparation before your nails are healed or your appearance has improved significantly and healthy nails have grown, the fungus may not have disappeared. In this case, the condition of your nails can deteriorate again.

Taking

• Unless otherwise prescribed, a thin layer of active ingredient nail polish must be applied once a day to the affected nail.
• Before applying the first, you should remove affected parts of the nail as largely as possible, e.g. B. with scissors, while heavily horny areas are to be removed as largely as possible with a disposable nail file available in stores.
• It is recommended that you carefully close the bottle's locking cap after each application to prevent the solution from drying out.
• The solution must not come into contact with the screw thread of the bottle, otherwise the locking cap can be glued.

  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.
  • The Use of topical drugs, especially over longer periods, can lead to the emergence of sensitization phenomena or cause side effects. In these situations, the treatment must be canceled and suitable therapeutic measures must be initiated. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
  • During treatment with the medicine, you are not allowed to use nail polish or other cosmetic nail products.
  • Children and adolescents
    • Since there is no sufficient clinical experiences, the couple parat should not be used in children.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • The medicine has no or a negligible influence on the roadworthiness and the ability to use machines.

Pregnancy

• The medicine must generally not be used during pregnancy and lactation.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.
