Field of use

• The chewing tablets are a calcium vitamin D3 preparation.
• It is used
  • for prophylaxis and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiency in older people
  • as calcium and vitamin D supplement for the supportive treatment of osteoporosis (bone loss)

Contradictions

• The chewing tablets must not be taken,
  • if you are allergic to calcium, vitamin D3 or one of the other components of this medicine
  • with increased calcium blood levels (hypercalcemia)
  • with increased calcium excretion in the urine (hypercalcuria)
  • if you suffer from an overfunction of the parathyroid gland (hyperparathyroidism)
  • for bone marks cancer (myeloma)
  • if you suffer from cancer that radiates on your bones (bone metastases)
  • if the limbs (extended immobilization) are immobilized for a long time, accompanied by hypercalcemia and/or hypercalcuria
  • with kidney stones (nephrolithiasis)
  • for calcium deposits in the kidneys (nephrocalcinosis)
  • with vitamin D overdosing (hypervitaminosis d)

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly as described here or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The recommended dose is:
  • Adults and older people take 1 chewing tablet daily (corresponding to 500 mg calcium and 1000 i.E. (international units) vitamin D3).

 

• Taking the chewing tablets is long -term treatment. Talk to your doctor how long you should take the medicine.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount of chewing tablets than you should
  • Overdose of chewing tablets can lead to symptoms such as B. nausea, vomiting, thirst feeling or excessive thirst, increased Harndrank, drying out or constipation.

• If you forgot to take it,

  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the chewing tablets.
    • During long -term therapy, the calcium levels in blood and urine and their kidney function must be monitored regularly. This is particularly important if you tend to form kidney stones. If necessary, your doctor can depend on your

    • Only take the chewing tablets with special caution if you suffer from sarcoidosis (a disease of the immune system that can affect your liver, lungs, skin or lymph nodes). There is a risk that this medicine is too effective and can lead to an overdose of calcium in the body. The calcium levels in blood and urine must be monitored.
    • If your movement ability is restricted and you suffer from osteoporosis, this medicine must be used with special caution, since the calcium level can rise in your blood.
    • Before taking the chewing tablets, the amount of calcium and alkali, such as. B. carbonates from other sources (food, enriched food or other medicines) are observed. When calcium -rich products at the same time as z. B. carbonates can be taken, this can lead to a milk alkali syndrome (Burnett syndrome). Pregnancy

• Pregnancy
