AMBROXOL AL juice

Active ingredient: ambroxol hydrochloride.

For expectorant treatment in acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs with viscous mucus.

Ambroxol AL Juice may only be taken by children under 2 years of age if directed by a doctor.

Contains sorbitol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate.

Pathogens, usually viruses, enter the body through the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth. One speaks of bronchitis when the mucous membranes of the bronchi (lower airways) are affected. Cough is a symptom of acute or chronic respiratory diseases and is a natural and important defense reaction of the body. When you cough, foreign bodies, pathogens and secretions are transported to the outside. The cough thus has a cleansing effect on the respiratory tract. Initially, bronchitis manifests itself as a dry, hacking cough. As the disease progresses, the mucous membranes of the bronchi produce more secretions. However, coughing is also painful and uncomfortable. First and foremost, it is important to support the mucus solution. Due to its expectorant effect, AMBROXOL AL can promote the expectoration of thick mucus and make it easier to expectorate.

For free breathing
Ambroxol has been a proven active ingredient for decades in acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs with thick mucus. The active ingredient has an expectorant effect and makes it easier to expectorate. Ambroxol also has anti-inflammatory properties. Ambroxol can reduce the viscosity of the thick mucus, making it harder for the mucus to adhere to the bronchial walls. Activation of the ciliated epithelium of the respiratory tract promotes the evacuation of the secretion. Coughing up is made easier and this has a positive effect on the course of the disease.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION:
AMBROXOL AL 30 tablets are best taken whole after meals with sufficient liquid. The tablet can be divided into equal doses due to the score line on one side.

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the following dosages apply:
- Children from 6 to 12 years: usually 2 to 3 times a day ½ a tablet (equivalent to 30 - 45 mg ambroxol hydrochloride/day)
- Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age: usually during the first 2 - 3 days 1 tablet 3 times a day (equivalent to 90 mg ambroxol hydrochloride/day), then 1 tablet twice a day (equivalent to 60 mg ambroxol hydrochloride/day)

A notice:
Increasing the adult dosage to 60 mg ambroxol hydrochloride twice daily (equivalent to 120 mg ambroxol hydrochloride/day) can increase the effectiveness.

If the condition worsens or does not improve after 4-5 days, a doctor should be consulted.

When the cough turns to agony
Coughing can be painful, uncomfortable, and annoying. Coughing is a tour de force of our body. The muscles work at full speed, which is exhausting for the body. Can children also take AMBROXOL AL 30?
Due to the high content of active ingredients, AMBROXOL AL 30 is not suitable for children under 6 years of age. It is advisable to use a drug with a lower active ingredient content. These are available in the form of juice (AMBROXOL AL juice) or drops (AMBROXOL AL drops).

Can I also take AMBROXOL AL 30 as a cough suppressant?
No. Cough with sputum should not be suppressed with medication. Cough suppressants should only be taken if you have a dry, non-productive cough.
