1. What is Calcium-Sandoz D Osteo Intens and what is it used for?

Calcium Sandoz D Osteo Intens is a calcium vitamin D3 preparation. Calcium Sandoz D Osteo Intens is used for detected calcium and vitamin D deficiency and supportive treatment of osteoporosis.

2. What should you pay close attention before taking Calcium-Sandoz D Osteo?

Calcium Sandoz D Osteo intens may not be taken:
  • if you are allergic to calcium, colecalciferol or one of the other ingredients of this medicine mentioned in Section 6
  • with too high calcium concentrations in the blood (hypercalcaemia) and / or increased calcium excretion in the urine (Hypercalzuria)
  • in diseases and / or states leading to increased calcium content in the blood (hypercalemia) and / or increased calcium excretion in urine (hypercalzuria) (eg About function of the side turtle glands, a disease of the bone marrow myeloma, a malignant bone tumor bone metastases )

Warnings and Precautions:

  • During long term treatment with calcium Sandoz D Osteo Intens must check your doctor to control the calcium level in the blood and monitor kidney function by measuring serum creatinine values.
