Visc-Ophtal Sine, Eyel in a dry eye
Active ingredient: 1 g eye gel contains 2 mg carbomers

Please read the entire leaflet carefully because it contains important information for you. This medicine is available without prescription. In order to achieve the best possible treatment success, however, VISC-Ophtal Sine must be used in accordance with properly.

1. What is VISC-Ophtal Sine and what is it used for?

VISC-Ophtal Sine is a tearing substitute. It is used as a replacement of the tear fluid in disturbed tear production and the symptomatic treatment of the dry eye.

2. What do you need to consider before using VISC-Ophtal Sine?

VISC-Ophtal Sine may not use them in hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients.

Take special care with VISC-Ophtal Sine is required if you wear contact lenses. Frequently, wearing contact lenses is not recommended for tear deficiency states. If, however, no objections against wearing contact lenses exist, they should be removed before the drop-up of Visc-Ophtal Sine and used at the earliest 15 minutes after the dropping.

When using VISC-Ophtal Sine with other medicines:
So far, no special interactions are known.

Note:
If you additionally apply other eye drops / eye ointments, you should respond to a time distance of about 5 minutes, and Visc-Ophtal SINE is always used as last. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have applied other medicines or recently applied, even if it is non-prescription medicines.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before applying all medicines. Although VISC-Ophtal SINEs have not been carried out any studies on pregnant women, on the other hand, there are no suspected moments that speak against the application in pregnancy and lactation, especially as carbomer only at a very small proportion (< 2% from the gastrointestinal tract) is and thus practically not available for the body. However, the application during pregnancy and lactation should be done from fundamental considerations only after careful benefit risk balancing by the doctor.

Driveion and use of machines:
After the dropping of Visc-Ophtal Sine in the binding shot of the eye, visual acuity can deteriorate for a few minutes. This is due to that after the dropping a relatively large amount of fluid on the Auge is located that can lead to blurred. Because of the limitation of visual acuity, we recommend that you do not work for a few minutes after the dropping of VISC-Ophtal Sine without a secure fit, do not use machines and do not participate in road traffic.

3. How is VISC-Ophtal Sine to apply?

Always use VISC-Ophtal Sine exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Please keep yourself on the application regulations, because Visc-Ophtal Sine can not act properly.

Dosage:
The dry eye therapy requires an individual dosage. Depending on the severity and expression of the complaints 3- to 5 times a day or more frequently and about 30 minutes before going to bed each 1 drop in the conjunctivable socket. For each application, a new single dose container is to be used.

Type of application:
For use on the eye.

Duration of application:
When treating the dry eye, which is usually used as long-term or continuous therapy, an ophthalmologist should be consulted. Visc-Ophtal Sine is suitable for continuous therapy. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of visc-Ophtal Sine is too strong or too weak.

If you have used a larger quantity VISC-Ophtal Sine than you should:
No overdose reactions are known and not to be expected in this type of application.

If you forget to apply VISC-Ophtal Sine:
Do not apply twice the dose. Continue therapy with the same dosage to the next intended time. If necessary, you can also apply Visc-Ophtal SINE between two scheduled times.

If you cancel the application of VISC-Ophtal Sine:
If you interrupt the application of Visc-Ophtal Sine, you need to expect that soon the typical symptoms of a dry eye show.

4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, Visc-Ophtal Sine can have side effects, but they do not have to occur each other.

Eye diseases:
Hypersensitivity and incompatibility reactions e.g. Pain, increased tear flow, foreign body feel, conjunctival, conjunctivation and eye swelling, itching.

Immune system:
Hypersensitivity reactions.

Note: If you are watching side effects, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

5. How to keep visc-Ophtal Sine?

Store drug out of reach of children! The medicine may no longer be used after the expiration date expires (See folding box and single dose container).

Storage conditions:
Do not store over + 25 ° C! For the purpose of the light protection, keep the single-dose containers in the folding box!

Note on durability after a break:
VISC-Ophtal Sine (single-dose containers) does not contain a preservative. Open single dose containers must not be kept. The residual amount remaining after use in the single-dose container must be discarded.

What Visc-Ophtal Sine contains:
The active ingredient is: carbomer (viscosity 40,000-60,000 mPa · s) at a concentration of 2.0 mg / g eye gel. The other ingredients are: sorbitol (ph.eur.), Sodium hydroxide (pH adjustment), water for injection purposes.

Like Visc-Ophtal Sine looks and content of the pack:
Visc-Ophtal Sine is a clear colorless eye gel. Packs with 30, 60 and 120 single dose containers with 0.6 ml eye gel and pack with 10 single dose containers with 0.6 ml each (only as a medical pattern).
