VIDISEPT® EDO®
1 ml eye drops contains 20 mg povidone (K 25)

1. What is Vidisept® Edo® and what is it used for?

VIDISEPT® EDO® is a tear substitute.
VIDISEPT® EDO® is used:
  • for the symptomatic treatment of dehydration phenomena of the horn and conjunctiva (dry eye) by tear secretion and tear functional disorders, due to local or systemic diseases, in case of lack of or incomplete eyelid fault, which z. B. in eyebres, foreign body feel and light sheau in wind and heat as well as fatigue feeling of the eyes can speak,
  • for wetting and reinforcing soft and hard contact lenses even during wearing the unconstrained VIDISEPT® EDO® is particularly suitable for patients who do not tolerate conserved tears.

2. What do you need before using VIDISEPT® EDO® NOTE?

VIDISEPT® EDO® must not be used if they are allergic to Povidon (K25) or one of the other ingredients of this medicine referred to in section 6.

Warnings and Precautions:
Please talk to your doctor, pharmacist or medical personnel before applying Vidisept® EDO®. In order to avoid impurities (contamination) of tropfer tip and solution, neither the eyelid nor the eye environment or other surfaces with the tropfer tip may come into contact.

Application of VIDISEPT® EDO® together with other medicines:
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you take or use other medicines, recently taken or applied or applied other medicines or intend to take or apply.

Note:
If other medicines are to be applied to the eye at the same time, VIDISEPT® EDO® should always be used as last - about 15 minutes later, so that the dwell time and thus the moistening effect is not shortened.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suspect to be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before applying this medicine. With VIDISEPT® EDO®, no special investigations have been carried out on pregnant woman patients. However, the use of Vidisept® EDO® during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be made from fundamental considerations only after careful benefit risk balancing by the doctor.

Driving and ability to operate machines:
Since this medicine can occur after dropping into the conjunctive bag of the eye by streaking for a few minutes of conspiration, no machines should be served during this time, not without secure hold and not participating in road traffic.

3. How to use VIDISEPT® EDO?

The recommended dose is 3- to 5 times a day or more than 1 to 5 times a day or more than 1 drops in the tethering bag. The dry eye therapy requires an individual dosage. Often a long-term treatment is required. The number of applications can be individually increased depending on the expression of the discomfort.

Type of application:
For use on the eye.
For each application, a new one-dose ophthaliol is to be used.
To adjust contact lenses, the removal of the contact lenses from the eye is not required.

If you have used a larger amount of VIDISEPT® EDO® than you should:
Health risks due to application errors, including accidental intake, eg. B. by children, or by overdoses are unknown and not to be expected due to the composition of the product.

If you forget the application of VIDISEPT® EDO:
Do not turn twice the amount if you forget the previous application. Get the application as soon as possible, then doses with the same amount and in the same time interval / rhythm as indicated above or as described above by your doctor. If you have further questions about the application of this medicine, contact your doctor, pharmacist or medical personnel.

4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, this medicine can also have side effects, but they do not have to occur each other. The frequency information on side effects is based on the following categories:
  • Very common: can affect more than 1 of 10 treated
  • Often: can concern up to 1 of 10 treated
  • Occasionally: can concern up to 1 of 100 treated
  • Rare: can affect up to 1,000 treated

In very rare cases it can be hypersensitivity reactions (Eyebrows, - Redness) come.

5. How to keep Vidisept® EDO?

Keep this medicine inaccessible to children.
Please do not store over + 25 ° C!

The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month. VIDISEPT® EDO® does not contain a preservative. Opened one-dose ophthtioles should therefore not be stored. The remaining amount remaining after use in the ophthtools must be discarded.

The active ingredient is: Povidone (K25)
1 ml eye drop contains 20 mg of povidone (K 25).
The other ingredients are: boric acid; Sodium chloride; Sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment); Water for injection purposes.

The right handling of the one-dose ophtes (= EDO®)
1. Disconnect a one-dose ophtoole from the latch and grasp them on the label side.
2. Turn off the cap.
3. Keep the one-dose ophtes for dropping vertically over the eye. So you ensure a targeted drop.

Tilt the head back and pull the lower eyelid of the eye with the index finger of a hand. With the other hand, keep the one-dose ophtes perpendicularly over the eye (without touching the eye) and pressing with the finger easily on the filler of the one-dose ophtiols to drop a drop in the downstretched tethering bag. Close the eye slowly and move it back and forth, so that the drops can distribute well.
The content of a one-dose ophthalole is sufficient for simultaneous use on both eyes.

Follow the tips below:
  • to thoroughly ventilate several times a day
  • drink enough (at least 2 liters a day)
  • frequently staying of fresh air
  • Blower, z. B. in the car or plane, do not focus on the eyes
  • Insert pauses in the screen work

However, there are also regular control examinations by their ophthalmologist, because it applies: treated incorrect or inadequate, the dry eye can lead to a serious illness.
