How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient blocks receptors for a specific messenger substance called histamine. Through this blockade, it suppresses vasodilatation triggered by histamine and increased blood flow to the smallest blood vessels (capillaries). It also has a calming effect via the same mechanism.

What speaks against an application?

Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Epilepsy
- Angle-closure glaucoma
- Prostate enlargement with residual urine formation
- Pheochromocytoma (adrenaline-producing tumor)
- Poisoning (acute)

Under certain circumstances - talk to your doctor or pharmacist about this:
- Reflux esophagitis (reflux disease with inflammation of the esophagus)
- Narrowing in the stomach outlet
- Bronchial asthma
- Chronic breathing difficulties
- High blood pressure
- Heart failure
- Deviation in EKG (extension of QT-duration)
- Tendency to seizures, i.e. family members or a personal history of epileptic seizures are known
- Brain damage
- Impaired liver function

Which age group should be taken into account?
- Children and adolescents under 18 years of age: The medicine should generally not be used in this age group.

What about pregnancy and lactation?
- Pregnancy: According to current knowledge, the medicine should not be used.
- Breast-feeding: The medicine must not be used.

What should you pay attention to?
