Field of use

• The vaginal omula are disinfectant vaginal suppositories (local anti-septic).
• They are used for specific and unspecific infections of the vagina and vaginal infections by Trichomonas vaginalis and Candida Albicans.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used
  • if you are allergic to Povidon iodine or one of the other components of this medicine
  • when you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • if you have a thyroid overactive
  • 1 to 2 weeks before a radioiod treatment
  • if you suffer from a chronic dermatitis with training in a group -shaped blisters (dermatitis herpetiformis duhring)

dosage

• Always apply this medicine exactly as described in the package insert or exactly according to the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The medicine is vaginal suppositories.
• Put 1 vaginal suppository as deep as possible into the vagina once a day.
• If necessary, especially at Candida Albicans infection, you can also use 2 vaginal suppositories daily, one morning and one evening.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of the treatment depends on the improvement of your symptoms. However, it should not be more than 10 days.
  • However, if there is no improvement in the symptoms within 10 days, contact your doctor.

 

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • If you use a larger amount of symptoms such as B. pulse acceleration, cardiac arrhythmias, inner restlessness, low blood pressure, shortness of breath, disturbances when urinating, disturbance of kidney function, contact a doctor immediately.

 

• If you have forgotten the application
  • Do not apply twice the amount if you have forgotten the previous application. Continue the treatment with the usual quantity the next time.

 

• If you cancel the application
  • Discuss the further procedure with your doctor or pharmacist, otherwise the success of the treatment may be at risk.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of this medicine, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• The preparation is vaginal suppositories.
• Wash your hands before and after introducing the vaginal suppository.
• Insert the vaginal suppository with a finger as deep as possible into the vagina.
• This is best done in a back with slightly dressed legs.
• It is best to introduce the vaginal suppository in the evening before going to bed.
• The treatment should not be carried out during menstruation or should be completed before the start, since the effectiveness of the vaginal omula can be reduced by the presence of blood. You shouldn't use tampons during treatment.
• The iodine it contains can cause brown spots in textiles. Therefore, a SLIP insert should be worn during use. If a laundry pollution still occurs, it can usually be removed with warm water and soap.
• Salmia spirit (ammonia) or fixing salt solution (sodium thiosulfate) are suitable for removal of stubborn stains. Ask your pharmacist.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using the vaginal ovula.
  • The preparation should only be applied by the doctor if you:
    • have or have a thyroid disease
    • have a goiter or suffer from so -called functional autonomies of the thyroid gland.
  • In these cases, repeated use of the drug should be avoided.
  • If used repeatedly, especially on a damaged mucous membrane, you should have your thyroid function checked by the doctor during and 6 to 12 weeks after treatment.
  • If the vaginal omula and latex products (e.g. condoms, diaphragms) are used at the same time, the functionality and thus impaired the safety of these products may occur for the duration of the vaginal ovula.
• Children and adolescents
  • The drug may only be used in children and adolescents after consultation with the doctor and according to his instructions. The vaginal omula should not be used before the first menstrual period occurs.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.
• The vaginal ovula must not be used during pregnancy and lactation.
