Field of use

• The drug contains the active ingredient cineol.
• It is an anti -inflammatory and expectorant drug for additional treatment for diseases of the airways.
• For the treatment of symptoms in bronchitis and respiratory diseases of the respiratory tract. For additional treatment for chronic and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract e.g. the sinuses (sinusitis).
• The medicine is intended for use in children (6 - 11 years), young people (12 - 17 years) and adults.

Contradictions

• The preparation must not be taken,
  • if you are allergic to cineol or one of the other components of this drug,
  • with whooping cough and pseudo group,
  • from infants and children to the age of 6.

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly as described or follow your doctor or pharmacist.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the recommended dose is:
  • Adults and adolescents from the age of 12
    • Single dose
      • 2 Capsules (corresponding to 200 mg cineol)
    • Total daily dose
      • 4 - 8 Capsules (corresponding to 400 - 800 mg cineol)
  • Children from 8 - under 12 years (approx. 25 - 43 kg)
    • Single dose
      • 1 Capsule (corresponding to 100 mg cineol)
    • Total daily dose
      • 3 Capsules (corresponding to 300 mg cineol)
  • Children from 6 - under 8 years (approx. 20 - 24 kg)
    • Single dose
      • 1 Capsule (corresponding to 100 mg cineol)
    • Total daily dose
      • 3 Capsules (corresponding to 300 mg cineol)
• The medicine is intended for use in children (6 - 11 years), young people (12 - 17 years) and adults.
• Adults and adolescents from the age of 12 take 2 capsules 3 times a day. In particularly stubborn cases, 2 capsules 4 times a day. For further and continuous treatment, 2 capsules generally suffice 2 times a day.
• Children from 6 - 11 years take 1 capsule 3 times a day.
• Before children take cineol, it should be ensured that they can swallow the capsules.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of the intake depends on the type, severity and course of the disease.
  • In the event of complaints that last for more than a week, with shortness of breath, with fever or purulent or bloody ejection, a doctor should be consulted.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • Poisoning with Cineol has not yet become known. If you suspect an overdose, please notify your doctor. According to the severity of the symptoms, this can decide on the measures necessary.
  • Central nervous disorders such as clouding of consciousness, fatigue, weakness of the extremities, excessive reduction in pupils (miosis) and in severe cases, coma and breathing disorders can occur as possible symptoms of overdose with cineol.

 

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • Do not take the double amount if you have forgotten the prior intake.

Taking

• The medicine is intended to take.
• Please take the capsules with an extensively not too hot liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water [200 ml]) half an hour before eating.
• If you have a sensitive stomach, it is advisable to take cineol during meals.

  • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking cineol. Particular caution when taking it is required:
    • For diseases that go hand in hand with a pronounced hypersensitivity of the airways.
    • In the case of asthma bronchial and COPD, therapy with only under medical control must be carried out, since individual benefits/risk assessment is required.

  • Children:

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug.
• Pregnancy:
  • There are no scientific studies on the use of pregnant women. If you are pregnant, you should only use Cineol after consultation with your doctor.
  • In animal -experimental studies on rats, cineol, the active ingredient, the placenta and reaches the fetus, but the previously available animal experimental data gave no indication of the occurrence of malformations.
• Still -time:
  • Due to the fat -soluble properties of the active ingredient, a transfer to breast milk cannot be excluded. However, there are no systematic examinations, especially with regard to the possible occurrence of unwanted drug effects. Essential oils can change the taste of the milk and lead to drinking problems. The medicine should only be used after consultation with your doctor during breastfeeding.
