Instructions for use for SAFECUP Vagisan menstrual cup size M, 1 pcs

SafeCup Vagisan
Menstrual cup / usually safe / with practical disinfection box / ideal for dry vagina / environmentally friendly alternative during the period

• Menstrual cup for menstrual bleeding
• does not dry out the vagina
• modern and discreet alternative to tampons without thread
• Made from 100% medical-grade silicone of the highest quality
• with practical box for storage and disinfection
• no leakage with a secure fit in the vagina
• developed by the Vagisan experts

More and more women are switching from tampons to a menstrual cup during their menstrual period. The menstrual cup has many advantages. Since it is reusable, it leaves no waste and is therefore kind to the environment. At the same time, it is easy on the wallet because a menstrual cup can be used for several years. Because after use it is not thrown away, but emptied, disinfected and reused.

The menstrual cup is inserted into the vagina and collects the blood there. It nestles against the vaginal wall and closes tightly so that nothing can leak out. The period catcher therefore catches the blood when it is correctly seated. A tampon, on the other hand, can become soaked and leak if it is not changed in time.

The SafeCup consists of 100% medical-grade silicone of the highest quality. This meets the same standards as the silicone used for artificial heart valves and pacemakers. The material is soft and pliable, guaranteeing easy insertion and Removing the SafeCup. The SafeCup Vagisan was scientifically examined and tested for tolerability, hygiene requirements and recommended wearing time as well as potential for irritation and sensitization as well as cytotoxicity. In addition, it deliberately avoids dyes, bleaches, plasticizers, latex, alkylphenols, PVC, BPA and animal ingredients, which makes it particularly compatible and safe. All hygiene recommendations are scientifically based.

For easy and uncomplicated cleaning of the menstrual cup, it comes in a black disinfection and storage box. This is discreet for transport on the go and can also be used for disinfection in the microwave. After only 5 minutes at 750 watts, the SafeCup is completely disinfected and can be reused.

The SafeCup is also ideal for a dry vagina. In contrast to a tampon, it does not dry out the vagina because it does not absorb the blood, but only catches it. Thus, the mucous membranes remain moist and you have a comfortable fit. Thanks to the pleasantly long wearing time of up to 6 hours (medically recommended), it is perfect for everyday use. There is no annoying thread to be seen and is therefore also suitable for swimming and in the sauna.

Since every woman is different and needs a different size, there are also different sizes of menstrual cups. This depends, among other things, on the strength of the menstrual period. The SafeCup from Vagisan is available in two sizes:

Size M
• for light to normal periods
• Diameter: 41mm
• Capacity: 20.2ml
• Length: 74 mm (with handle); 47 mm (without handle)

Size L
• for the heavier periods
• Diameter: 46mm
• Capacity: 29.5ml
• Length: 74 mm (with handle); 52 mm (without handle)

With the SafeCup Vagisan , menstrual bleeding is safely collected and later emptied easily.

Before use, please always wash your hands thoroughly with mild soap and clean and disinfect the menstrual cup. The SafeCup is folded before insertion and, if necessary, moistened with water. Gently insert the menstrual cup into the vagina after folding. Insert the menstrual cup so that the lower end (the base, not the stem end!) is only about 1 cm from the vaginal opening. Only then do you release your fingers from the menstrual cup so that it can unfold itself in the vagina. It then sits at the lower end of the vagina, unlike a tampon, which you insert much deeper into the vagina. It arisesht a vacuum, whereby the menstrual cup closes securely with the vaginal wall. To check whether the menstrual cup has unfolded completely, you can run your finger along the upper end of the SafeCup. So you can feel if there is a kink.

Tip: After inserting the SafeCup in the vagina, rotate it slightly around its own axis. If your menstrual cup can be rotated, then it is secure. Rotating can often unfold a still existing kink completely.

After wearing it for 6 hours at the latest (this is the medically recommended wearing time), the vacuum can be released by gently pressing the lower end of the SafeCup with your finger and the menstrual cup can be removed. The contents can be emptied in the toilet and the SafeCup can be cleaned with cold water and a little mild washing lotion. Before the next insertion, disinfect the menstrual cup again (in the microwave for 5 minutes at 750 watts or in boiling water for Boil for 7 minutes and allow to cool). The enclosed, discreet box is not only used for storage, but can also be used for disinfection in the microwave.

SafeCup Vagisan. Usually safe.

I have the SafeCup Vagisan from Dr. Wolff as a product tester. It comes in attractive packaging, the scope of delivery included a menstrual cup and a practical disinfectant box. The material is very soft and comfortable. I have already tried different menstrual cups and found them to be very comfortable in terms of material. It is soft and flexible, which I particularly like because it is made of medical silicone and not bleached. When inserted, like all other menstrual cups, it is large but can be easily shaped. The retrieval strap is a comfortable size and is small, narrow, and easy to grip so you don't feel it during activities. Handling is the same as with all other menstrual cups. But remember, if you're on the go, you should always have a spare menstrual cup with you. Because you don't go to the sink with a menstrual cup that contains blood ;) or you should always have a small water bottle with you for rinsing. You also have to get used to the sight of clotted blood. I think if you're not that experienced yet, you should use an additional panty liner at the beginning if you haven't positioned the menstrual cup correctly, because you need some practice to position it correctly and I don't think you want something through your clothes goes. Because you need some practice. I got the hang of it after the third time, i.e. on the first day. Cleaning is very easy, just rinse with water and when you get home, put it in the microwave with the disinfectant cup for several minutes. Be careful as you can easily burn your hands. So it's best to let it cool down in the microwave first and then take it out. After a while, the menstrual cup no longer looks so appealing as it becomes discolored (looks a bit unappetizing) but it doesn't bother you. The material is still very comfortable after repeated use and does not become brittle, stiff or anything like that. For the environment, if you consider that you always throw away the tampon after each use, the menstrual cup is a great product, but it says that you can use the cup for several years, well if it no longer looks so appetizing after repeated use , I don't think I'll be using it for several years. Price: I always bought two menstrual cups from the same manufacturer because I always wanted to have one to change so that I could properly clean the one I was using. That's why I like the menstrual cup from Dr. Wolff is quite expensive, one costs 24.95 euros, there are similar products that are available for just ten euros. Well, overall a great product, but the price is a negative criterion for me. That's why I deduct a point.
