Rheumon® Lotio, 1 g emulsion contains 100 mg Etofenamat.
Active substance: Etofenamat
For use in adults

Read the entire leaflet carefully before starting using this medicine. This medicine is available without prescription. However, in order to achieve the best possible treatment success, Rheumon Lotio must be used in accordance with properly.
  • Lift the package leaflet. You might want to read it again.
  • Ask your pharmacist if you need more information or advice.
  • When your symptoms worse, or after 2 weeks (Blunt injury) or after 3-4 weeks with rheumatic diseases no improvement occurs, you must definitely consult a doctor.

1. What is rheumon Lotio and what is it used for?

Rheumon Lotio is a medicine for external, local application. The drug Etofenamate belongs to the group of non-steroidal (cortisone-free) anti-rheumatics (rheumatics) and has anti-inflammatory (anti-phlogist) and pain relief (analgesic) properties.

Application areas:
  • For the external supportive symptomatic treatment of pain;
  • in acute crushes, sprains or bruises in the field of extremities due to stumper traumas, e.g. Sports violations;
  • the articulated soft tissue (e.g., grinding, tendons, tapes and joint capsule) for osteoarthritis of the knee joint.

2. What do you need to know about the application of rheumon Lotio?

Rheumon Lotio must not be used at:
  • Hypersensitivity to drugs, the Etofenamate, circuitsamic acid or other non-steroidal (cortisone free) Anti-inflammatory
  • In the last pregnancy average
  • Children and adolescents

Take special care with the application of rheumon Lotio, the following cases are required:
Rheumon Lotio should not be applied to injured or itchy, inflamed skin. Children and adolescents should not be treated with rheumon Lotio, as there are no sufficient experience in the application.

When using rheumon Lotio with other medicines:
So far, it is not known that special measures are necessary if you apply rheumon Lotio. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have applied other medicines or recently applied, even if it is non-prescription medicines.

What do you need in pregnancy and lactation?
Pregnancy:
In the first and second thirds of pregnancy you should use rheumon Lotio only after consulting the doctor. In the last pregnancy RDttel may not use Rheumon Lotio, as an increased risk of complications for mother and child is not excluded.

Latving:
Since Etofenamat merges into the breast milk in small amounts, a longer application of rheumon Lotio in the lactation should be avoided if possible and the daily dose (see section 3) Not exceeded. 3. How is Rheumon Lotio to apply?

Always use Rheumon Lotio exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Rheumon Lotio is a medicine in which the amount of emulsion to be assumed can be very different depending on the type and severity of the disease for the individual patient; The following information is therefore averages.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
Several times (3 to 4 times) daily should a lot in diameter of approx. 3 cm (equivalent to about 1.7 to 3.3 g per application) rheumon Lotio applied as large as possible on the diseased area and rubbed easily into the skin will. For rheumatic diseases, in most cases a treatment period of 3 - 4 weeks sufficient; with blunt injury (eg Sports violations) can be the treatment time for up to 2 weeks. For further existing complaints, the doctor is to be consulted, which decides on the further procedure.

If you have used a larger amount than you should.
What to do when rheumon Lotio has been used in large quantities (intended or accidental overdose)?
If the contents of a bottle of rheumon lotio or more within a short time is applied to the entire body surface, headaches, dizziness or upper abdominal problems can occur. As countermeasure, the washing of rheumon Lotio with water is recommended.

4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, rheumon can have side effects, but they do not have to occur each other.

In rare cases, skin grindings or in very rare cases may occur allergic skin reactions (eg strong itching, rash, skin rotation, swelling, bubble formation.

Which countermeasures are to take with side effects?
After discontinuation of the medicine, the skin symptoms usually form rapidly, so that special measures are not required. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if one of the listed side effects you significantly affect it or notice side effects that are not specified in this instructions for use.

5. What is the rheumon Lotio be kept?

Store drug out of reach of children. You may not use the medicinal product after the expiry date specified on the outbox and label after specified.

Storage conditions:
No special storage conditions are required for these medicines.

Note on durability after a break:
After opening the bottle, the medicine is still lasting 12 weeks.

The active ingredient is:
Etofenamat

The other ingredients are:
Bentonite, Benzyl alcohol, anhydrous citric acid (pH. EUR.), Diisopropyladipate, glycerol mono / di (palmitate, stearate), Hexadecan-1-ol, Macrogolstearate 5000, sodium citrate 2H2O, purified water.

Rheumon Lotio can be caused for polished furniture or plastics discoloration or change in the surface. Therefore, if necessary, wash hands after rubbing or avoid contact with the above objects.

Rheumon Lotio is a white, aqueous emulsion and original packs of 100 g emulsion (N2) available.
