Field of use

• The drug contains a locally effective pain reliever (local anesthetic) and serves to relieve painful complaints in the anal area.
• The medicine is used for
  • Relief of pain in the anal area before proctological examination.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against lidocaine or one of the other components of the drug.

dosage

• Always apply the drug according to instructions. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • The ointment is usually used 2 to 3 times a day.
  • The amount depends on the size of the skin and mucosal parts to be treated.
  • The medicine contains a rapid and well -effective pain reliever. It is therefore sufficient if you use the ointment sparingly. The maximum dose of 2.5 g ointment (125 mg lidocaine) per individual application should not be exceeded.
• Duration of the application
  • The ointment may only be applied to the doctor's visit without medical instruction, but maximum for 3 days.
  • Please keep the recommended treatment time even if you feel better before.

 

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • No overdoses are known for intended use.
  • If the ointment, e.g. B. taken by children, so no severe symptoms of poisoning can be expected. However, complaints such as abdominal pain and nausea can occur.
  • Consciousness, shock, cramps and shortness of breath can also occur only when taking very large amounts of lidocaine. In any case, please inform a doctor.
  • If you have accidentally used the medicine once or several times more frequently than intended, no increased side effects can be expected. In this case, reduce the application to the intended dosage.
  • If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

 

Taking

• The pack is included with a cannula with side outlet openings, with the help of which the ointment is distributed evenly and in sufficient quantities in the anal canal and adjacent rectum area.

Patient information

• Special care in the application is required:
  • The application of the drug serves to relieve pain before medical examination and cannot replace it. Please search for your family doctor as soon as possible, an proctologically experienced dermatologist or proctologist (doctor for rectal studies). Under no circumstances is the drug to apply in the long term.
  • In the case of fungal infestation, the additional application of a local effect is required by means of fungal infections.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • The medicine has no effect on the traffic and operating machines.

Pregnancy

• Lidocaine, the active ingredient of this drug, should only be used during pregnancy if the indication is strictly.
• A risk to the infant when using the drug during breastfeeding appears unlikely.

- In the event of fungal infestation, the additional application of a locally effective mushroom agent is required.
