1. What is Nystatin Lederle Ointment and what is she applied for?

Nystatin Lederle Ointment is an antimycotic (medium against pathogenic fungi) and is applied to skin infections caused by proven Nystatin-sensitive yeast (Candida Albicans, Torulopsis Glabrata et al.). If you do not feel better or even worse after 1 week, contact your doctor.

2. What should you pay attention to the use of Nystatin Lederle Ointment?

Nystatin Lederle Ointment may not be used if it is hypersensitive (allergic) against Nystatin or one of the other ingredients of this medicine mentioned in section 6.

Warnings and Precautions:
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Nystatin Lederle ointment. Due to the high osmolarity of Nystatin, an application is advised against very underweight and immature premature babies. Treatment with Nystatin Lederle Ointment in the genital or anal area may result in the simultaneous use of condoms from latex because of the contained adjuvants to reduce the functionality and thus for impairing the safety of condoms.

Application of Nystatin Lederle Ointment with other medicines:
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you apply other medicines, recently applied other medicines or intend to apply other medicines. Interactions with other medicines have not yet become known.

Pregnancy, lactation and landscape capability:

3. How to use Nystatin Lederle Ointment?

The recommended dose is:
Adult:
Wear the ointment 2-3 times daily on the sick skin portions. For newborns, toddlers and children (S 2 years) the same dosage is considered for adults.

Type of application:
Nystatin Lederle Ointment is an ointment for use on the skin.

Duration of application:
You should apply the ointment for about 6 days to the decay of the disease. A continuation of treatment for more 8-10 days is recommended to secure the treatment success. The duration of the application is determined by the treating physician. 4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, this medicine may also have side effects; But they do not have to occur each other.
