Field of use

nasic® Neo nasal spray, a further development of the proven nasic® O.k. . In a runny nose, the difficult nasal breathing is not the only one that torments us: often the nose is also sore, irritated and hurts. nasic® Neo nasal spray combats the runny nose symptoms with the active ingredient combination of xylometazoline and dexpanthenol. It causes the nasal mucosa to swell so that you can breathe freely through your nose again. At the same time, it maintains the nose and promotes the healing of the mucous membranes. It is free of preservatives and, as an innovation, also includes the other other component hyaluron. The nasic® Neo nasal spray is suitable for adults and children from 6 years and can be used for up to 6 months after opening.

Mode of action

Two active ingredients, twice effective xylometazoline narrow the vessels of the mucous membrane and can thus ensure a repulse. Dexpanthenol maintains and supports the healing of the nasal mucosa, which is affected by sneakers and drying out. In nasic® Neo nasal spray, the active ingredients complement each other and are stronger than alone - so you can get rid of your runny nose faster! Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used,
  • if they are hypersensitive (allergic) against the active ingredients xylometazolin hydrochloride or dexpanthenol or one of the other components of the preparation,
  • if you have a dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa with bark formation (rhinitis sicca),
  • after surgical removal of the pituitary gland through the nose (transphenoidal pituitary) or other surgical interventions that expose the meninges,
  • for infants and small children under the age of 6.

dosage

Application recommendation of Nasic Neo nasal spray (pack size: 10 ml): Adults and school children spray a spray in each nostril as needed 3 times a day - insert the spray head as vertically as possible and pump them once.

Taking

• The medicine is intended for use in the nose.
• Peel the protective cap off the spray head.
• Pump several times before the first application until an uniform spray lever leaves. With all other applications, the spray is ready for use.
• Insert the spray head into the nasal openings as vertically as possible and pump it once. After use, wipe the spray head for hygienic reasons and put the protective cap again.

Patient information

• Particular caution when using the preparation is required,
  • if they are treated with monoaminoxidase inhibitors (MAO inhibitors) and other potentially blood pressure-enhancing medicines,
  • with increased intraocular pressure, especially green star (narrow -angle glaucoma),
  • in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases (e.g. coronary heart disease) and high blood pressure (hypertension),
  • in patients with tumor of the adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma),
  • for metabolic disorders, such as B. Overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism) and diabetes (diabetes mellitus),
  • porphyria in metabolic disease,
  • for prostate enlargement (prostate hyperplasia).
• Chronic runny nose may only be used due to the risk of the loss of the nasal mucosa.
• Children
  • Long -term application and overdose, especially in children, must be avoided. The application for higher doses may only be carried out under medical control.
  • The drug contains an active ingredient concentration that is intended for adults and school children and is therefore not suitable for infants and toddlers under the age of 6. Appropriate nasal sprays with a lower content of the decongestant active ingredient xylometazolin hydrochloride are available for the age group of children between 2 and 6 years.

  • No impairments can be expected in the event of intended use.

Pregnancy

• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using all drugs.
• Pregnancy
  • The drug should not be used during pregnancy, since there is no sufficient data for the use of the active ingredient xylometazolin hydrochloride in pregnant women.
• Breastfeeding
  • Use during breastfeeding should also not be made, since it is not known whether the active ingredient xylometazolin hydrochloride merges into breast milk.
