Livocab eye drops - 0.05% eye drops, suspension for applying children from 1 year, adolescents and adults

1. What are Livocab eye drops and what is it used for?

Indication group: Antillergikum / Antihistaminic. Livocab eye drops is a medicine for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis. Livocab eye drops are used to treat the complaints of allergic inflammation of the conjunctiva, e.g. Hay fever or the so-called spring catarrh.

2. What should you consider before using Livocab eye drops?

Livocab eye drops must not be used if they allergic against levocabastin or one of the section 6. other ingredients of this medicine are.

Warnings and Precautions:
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before applying Livocab eye drops. If you wear soft contact lenses: Avoid contact with soft contact lenses. Benzalkonium chloride (Another component of Livocab eye drops) can lead to discoloration of soft contact lenses. Contact lenses must be removed before using LIVOCAB eye drops and allowed to be 15 at the earliest Replace minutes after using Livocab eye drops.

Application of Livocab eye drops along with other medicines:

Latving:
If you are breastfeeding, you should only use Livocab Nasal Spray after consulting your doctor.

The recommended dosage is 2 times a day 1 drop of livocap eye drops per eye. The dosage can be increased in stronger discomfort to up to 4 times a day 1 drops per eye.

If you have used a larger amount of Livocab eye drops than you should:
If you accidentally swallow the bottle content of Livocab eye drops, you can feel sleepy. Please contact a doctor in this case and drink a lot of water.

If you forget the application of Livocab eye drops:
Do not apply twice the dose if you forget the previous application. Continue treatment with LIVOCAB eye drops as described in the dosage.
If you have further questions about the application of the medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, this medicine can also have side effects, but they do not have to occur each other.

Possible side effects:
Very often (can concern more than 1 of 10 treated):
  • Irritation of the eyes

Frequently (can concern up to 1 of 10 treated):
  • Eye pain and blurred See
  • Headache

Occasionally (can concern up to 1 of 100 treated):
  • Swelling of the eyelids

Very rare (can concern up to 1 of 10,000 treated):
  • Hautical inflammation, swelling of the eyes, eyelid inflammation, swelling of the letters of the conjunctiva (red eye)

Other possible side effects:
  • In very rare cases, patients developed with pronounced corneal defects under therapy with phosphate-containing eye drop turbidity of the cornea by the formation of calcium phosphate.

5. What are Livocab eye drops to keep?

The active ingredient is: Levocabastin (present as levocabastinhydrochloride). 1 ml suspension contains 0.5 mg of levocabastin corresponding to 0.54 mg of levocabastin hydrochloride. 1 Drop contains about 0.015 mg levocabastin. The other ingredients are: water for injection, propylene glycol, disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate 1 H2O, hypromellosis, polysorbate 80, benzalkonium chloride solution, sodium date (pH. EUR.).
