1. What is Gencydo and what is it used for?

GencyDo is an anthroposophical medicine in allergic diseases.

Application areas:
According to anthroposophic human and natural knowledge, the treatment areas belong to the treatment and the prevention of allergic diseases, in particular the airways, e.g. Hay fever.

2. What do you need to know before taking Gencydo?

GENCYDO injection solutions may not be used if they are hypersensitive (allergic) to citrus fruits.

Precautions for the application:
For persistent, unclear or new complaints, please visit a doctor.

Children:
GENCYDO injection solutions are not suitable for use in infants because there are no sufficiently documented experiences. Detailed information about which concentration can be injected or inhaled at which age levels, please refer to the tables in section 3.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
Before using all medicines during pregnancy and lactation, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Interactions with other medicines:
Not known. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have applied other medicines or recently applied, even if it is non-prescription medicines.

3. How to take Gencydo?

Always use Gencydo exactly as your doctor has told you. The injection solutions are either injected or inhaled either subcutaneously. The inhalation treatment and the selection of a suitable nebulizer should only be consulted with a doctor. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:

Injection treatment:
Prevention phase: 1 ml of subcutaneous inject 1-2 times a week. Treatment phase: Inject 1 ml of subcutaneously up to 1 ml of subcutaneously.

• Schoolchildren from 10 to 14 years: Gencydo 0.1% and GencyDo 1.0 %,
• Teenagers from the 14th year of life and adults: Gencydo 0.1 %, 1.0%, 3%, 5% and 7 %.

Preventive treatment is started as far as possible in January or February. One injects 1 - 2 times a week 1 ml of the lowest concentration specified in the table. When the disease phenomena are used, you go to the higher concentrations and increases the frequency of application up to 1 times a day.
The subcutaneous injection is preferably done in the neck area or the upper arm outside. After purging the puncture site (e.g., by rubbing mit 70% alcohol) form a skin fold and pierce the injection needle obliquely. Slightly withdraw the syringe stamp. Should blood appear, a blood vessel was hit. Repeat the injection in this case at another location. If no blood appears to slowly inject, then pull out the needle and press the puncture site briefly with a swab. In any case, it is recommended to learn the injection technique through a person experienced in it.

Inhalation treatment:
The inhalation treatment is carried out with the help of a nebulizer. 1 - 2 times daily 1 - 2 ml injection solution for inhalation are used. After specifying the device manufacturer and the attending physician, the injection solution may be 1: 1 to 1 1: 2 to be diluted with sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution.

• Schoolchildren from 10 to 14 years: Gencydo 0.1%, 1.0% and 3.0 %,
• Teenagers from the 14th year of life and adults: Gencydo 1.0 %, 3%, 5% and 7 %.

For children up to the age of 10, inhalation treatment should be carried out instead of injection treatment. The child is allowed to inhale so many breaths as it is old. For schoolchildren from the age of 10 and adults, inhalation can also be used in the acute stage in addition to injection.

Duration of application:
The duration of the usage will be decided by the medicating doctor. In order to achieve a significant decrease in the disease phenomena, it is necessary to consistently carry out the treatment with GENCYDO preparations for several years.

If you forget the application of Gencydo:
Do not use twice the dose if you forget the previous application.

Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure when using this medicine.

4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, Gencydo injection solutions can have side effects. Very often, the injection of GencyDo 3%, 5% and 7% around the puncture site around the puncture point. They are desirable and belong to the therapeutic action principles of the preparation. For GencyDo 0.1% and 1 % are no side effects known.

5. What else is important?

You must not use the medicinal product after the expiry date specified on the ampoules and the folding box.

Medicine designation Gencydo 1%, 1 Ampoule contains: active ingredients: Citrus Limon, Succus 8 - 12 mg according to 0.65 mg of fruit acids, calculated as citric acid, aqueous abstract from Cydonia Oblonga, Fructus REC. (1: 2.1) 30 mg
Medicine name Gencydo 0.1%, 1 ampoule contains: Active ingredients: Citrus Limon, Succus 0.8 - 1.2 mg corresponding to 0.065 mg of fruit acids, calculated as citric acid, aqueous abstract from Cydonia Oblonga, Fructus REC. (1: 2.1) 3 mg
Other ingredients: sodium chloride, water for injection purposes.

Dosage form and pack sizes:
8 ampoules to 1 ml injection solution. By Gencydo 1% and Gencydo 3 % are also available bundle packs with 48 (6 x 8) ampoules.
