Field of use

• The preparation is a medicine to treat fungal infections of the vagina. The active ingredient clotrimazole inhibits growth and the increase in mushroom cells such as: B. Sprospilzen (yeasts) as well as a number of other mushrooms and some bacteria.
• The medicine is used:
  • In the event of infectious discharge, caused by yeast mushrooms; Inflammation of the vagina by mushrooms - mostly yeast mushrooms of the genus Candida - as well as overlapping infections (super infections) with clotrimazole -sensitive bacteria.

Contradictions

dosage

• Always apply this medicine as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • On 3 consecutive days, you should insert 1 vaginal tablet once a day - in the evening - as described below (see category "Type of application").

• Duration of the application
  • Treatment on 3 consecutive days is usually sufficient to eliminate a fungal infection. If necessary, however, a second treatment cycle can be connected.
  • In general, the signs of vaginal inflammation caused by fungi (such as itching, discharge, burning) decrease significantly within the first four days after the start of the treatment. If there is no significant improvement in the symptoms after 4 days, please contact your doctor.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the vaginal tablets is too strong or too weak.

• If you have forgotten the application
  • If you have forgotten the application in the evening, you can make up for the application in the course of the following morning.

• If you cancel the application
  • In order to achieve a complete healing of the infection and prevent a relapse, you should not end or interrupt the treatment prematurely without consulting your doctor. If you do this anyway, there is a fear of returning the symptoms, since your fungal infection is probably not yet properly healed. However, you should not cancel the treatment after the complaints have subsided, but should continue consistently over 3 days.

Taking

• On 3 consecutive days, you should insert 1 vaginal tablet once a day - in the evening - as described as described below.
• Application with applicator
  • Wash your hands before taking the vaginal tablet and the applicator out of the package and then again when you have used the applicator.

• Dispose of the applicator after the last brownch in a safe place inaccessible to children.
• The applicator must not be disposed of in the toilet.
• Application without applicator
  • The application can also be done without an applicator:
    • The treatment should not be carried out during menstruation or should be completed before the start.
    • During pregnancy, the vaginal tablets should be used that can be inserted into the vagina without using an applicator.
• Notice
  • With dry sheath, the vaginal tablet may not completely dissolve. This can be recognized by the fact that solid crocks are excreted that z. B. are in the underwear. In this case, treatment should be carried out with a vaginal cream. With this product, cream is introduced with an applicator.
    
    

Patient information

• Special care in the application is required
  • In the following it is described when you can only use the medicine under certain conditions and only with special caution.
  • In the case of fever (temperatures of 38 ° C and above), abdominal pain, back pain, poorly smelling vaginal discharge, nausea, vaginal bleeding and/or connected with shoulder pain, you should consult a doctor.
  • Please ask your doctor,
    • when the disease occurs for the first time;
    • if you have had more than four such fungal infections over the past 12 months.
  • Notice
    • If used with latex products (e.g. condoms, diaphragms), the auxiliary substances (in particular stearates) can be reduced to reduce functionality and thus to impair the safety of these products. The effect is temporary and only occurs during treatment.
      

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • The vaginal tablets have no or a negligible influence on the roadworthiness and the ability to use machines.

Pregnancy

• Please ask your doctor for advice before using the vaginal tablets if you are pregnant or breastfeed.
• You can use the vaginal tablets during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but only after the instruction of a doctor.
• Reproductive ability
  • Studies on the influence of clotrimazole on the fertility (fertility) of humans are not available.
