Taking

  • The lollipops should be sucked slowly, since part of the effect comes about due to the locally higher fluoride concentrations in the mouth. Infants and toddlers can be administered the crushed sucking tablet on a spoon with food, water or tea. A addition to the bottle food can be made if it can be expected that the bottle is completely drunk.
  • The best time of application is in the evening after brushing your teeth, since the high fluoride concentrations on the teeth are preserved for a particularly long time.

Patient information

  • Particular caution is required when taking it
    • in early and deficiency born infants. Only when your child has achieved a body weight of more than 3,000 g with normal physical development, should you start with caries prevention by supplying fluoride, your child, you should start with your child,
    • if your child has a severe chronic disease affecting growth. In this case, you should consult the treating doctor whether caries prevention with fluoride is suitable for your child.
    • Infants who receive a balanced nutrient supply (accounted diet), and children who receive a balance sheet due to a congenital metabolic disorder does not require any administration of fluoride tablets.
    • If the water (drinking, mineral or table water) used to prepare your baby or toddler contains more than 0.3 mg fluoride per liter, an additional fluoride administration is not necessary. If your child is only breastfed, this restriction does not apply because Fluoride only passes to breast milk.
    • If you use fluoridated food salt when preparing your infant or toddler food, please do without further fluoride gifts.
    • If fluoride is taken, no fluoride -containing toothpaste should be used in children under 3 years (due to the risk of swallowing the toothpaste).
    • Do not increase the dosage of the preparation beyond the recommended dose, since melting spots can develop on the permanent teeth and with very significant, long -term overdose disorders of the bone structure.
    • Notice:
      • Most infants and toddlers receive fluoride and vitamin D for combined prevention against rachitis and caries in the first two years of life or through the health department. In this case, the additional administration of the preparation in the first two years of life should be omitted.
      • The dentist or the doctor should be questioned due to an additional application of fluoride -containing gel or varnishes for local fluoridation.

  • Wateriness and operating machines
