1.What is Cutistad Spray and what is it used for?

Cutistad Spray is an anti-mushroomant (antimycotic) for external use in the skin for fungal infections. Cutistad Spray is used for the treatment of fungal infections (mycoses) of the skin by dermatophytes, yeasts (e.g., Candida species), molds and others such as Malassezia Furfur, e.g. in the form of:
  • Mycoses of the feet (foot mushroom), skin and skin fold
  • superficial candidoses
  • Beating mushroom lens (PityRiasis versicolor).

2.What do you need to consider spray before using Cutistad?

If you are hypersensitive (allergic) against clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of Cutistad spray.

Take special care with Cutistad Spray:
Cutistad Spray is only intended for external application. Cutistad spray must not get on mucous membranes or in the eyes. Cutistad spray is not suitable for the treatment of fungal infections in the genital area. Propylene glycol can cause skin irritation. Children and older people: Special adjustments are not necessary.

When using Cutistad spray with other medicines:
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have applied other medicines or recently applied, even if it is non-prescription medicines. Through the active ingredient clotrimazole, Cutistad Spray reduces the effectiveness of amphotericin and other polyene antibiotics such as Nystatin and Natamycin.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before applying all medicines. Clotrimazole-containing preparations should be in FIG. until 3rd pregnancy month not large-scale (not more than 30% Body surface), since an epidemiological study has evidence of an increased premature birth rate after vaginal application of clotrimazole in the first 3 months of pregnancy. In order to avoid the direct contact of the infant with clotimazole, Cutistad Spray should not be used in breast area.

Important information about certain ingredients of Cutistad Spray:
In the case of known hypersensitivity to Macrogol, propane-2-ol or propylene glycol, one of the aforementioned substances can be applied free dosage form. (Instead of the spray e.g. Use Cutistad Cream.) Propylene glycol can cause skin irritation.

3. How is Cutistad spray to apply?

Always use Cutistad Spray exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose of Cutistad Spray is 2 - Applied 3 times a day.

Type of application:
The solution is sprayed on the diseased skin portions.

Duration of application:
For treatment success, a regular and sufficiently long application is important. The duration of treatment is different; It depends on the extent and the local situation of the disease. In order to achieve a complete healing, treatment should not be broken off after the decay of acute inflammatory symptoms or subjective discomfort, but will continue up to a period of at least 4 weeks. Beating mushroom lichen (Pityriasis versicolor) generally heals in 1-3 weeks. For foot mushroom - to prevent relapses - despite rapid subjective improvement about 2 weeks beyond the disappearance of all disease signs. After every wash, the feet should be thoroughly dried (Toe spaces). Please talk to your doctor if you have the impression that the effect of Cutistad spray is too strong or too weak.

If you forget the application of Cutistad Spray:
After a forgotten single dose, please do not apply the double amount of Cutistad Spray the following day, but remove treatment with the intended dose.

If you cancel the application of Cutistad Spray:
Please discuss with your doctor or pharmacist the further procedure, as in this case the treatment success is endangered.

4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, Cutistad spray can have side effects, but they do not have to occur each other. When assessing side effects, the following frequency information is usually used:

5. How to keep Cutistad Spray?

Store drug out of reach of children. You may not use the medicine after the expiry date specified on the folding box and the label. Do not store over + 30 ° C.
