Monitoring is particularly important in older patients, which simultaneously with heart-force-enhancing (heart glycosides) or urinary agents (Diuretics) are treated (see section 2 "Taking Calcium Sandoz D Osteo together with other medicines"). This applies if there is a pronounced tendency for stone formation. When a hypercalemia occurs (increased calcium content in the blood) or signs of renal functionthe dose must be reduced or taking the dose.
  • if you suffer from a kidney function fault, Calcium Sandoz D Osteo with caution, under monitoring of the calcium and phosphate mirrors to apply. The risk of calcification of the soft tissues must be taken into account. In a serious kidney function disorder, vitamin D in the form of colecalciferol is not metabolized normally. Due to the increased risk for increased calcium content in the blood (hypercalcaemia), serum calcium levels should be monitored regularly with accompanying treatment with Thiazid-Diuretics. Systemic corticosteroids (Cortisone and Cortisone descendants) reduce the calcium recording. With simultaneous application, it may be necessary to dose the Dose of Calcium Sandoz D to increase Osteo. The simultaneous treatment with ion exchange resins such as colestyramine or laxatives (laxants) such as paraffin oil can reduce the intake in the gastrointestinal tract (gastrointestinal absorption) of vitamin D. The recording of tetracycline preparations (Certain antibiotics) can be reduced by simultaneously occupied calcium preparations. For this reason, tetracycline preparations should be taken at least 2 hours or 4-6 hours after oral calcium intake. The toxicity of heart glycosides may be increased in hypercalcaemia (elevated calcium content in the blood) as a result of treatment with calcium. These patients should be monitored with regard to electrocardiogram (ECG) and serum calcium levels. With simultaneous use of oral bisphosphonates or sodium fluoride, these should at least 3 hours before taking Calcium Sandoz D OSTEO, otherwise the recording of oral bisphosphonates or sodium fluoride could be restricted in the gastrointestinal tract.

Taking Calcium Sandoz D Osteo together with food and beverages:
Oxalic acid (included in spinach and rhubarb) as well as phytic acid (included in wholegrain products) can inhibit the calcium recording by forming insoluble connections with calcium ions. Before and after the consumption of foods with a high content of oxal or phytic acid, they should not occupy 2 hours no calcium-containing medicines.

Dear patient, dear patient,
The "building material" calcium contributes significantly to the strength of our bones. Since calcium can not be formed by the body itself, it must be supplied from the outside. Due to the modern dietary habits, the daily calcium requirement may not be covered. Furthermore, a reduced recording of the dietary calcium from the intestine or an increased calcium excretion can result in a deficiency. This can lead to a loss of bone substance and thus to bone stability. The recording of calcium into the body takes place in the intestine. Vitamin D is required for this purpose. The vitamin supports the installation of calcium into the bones. Vitamin D is slightly fed over the food and formed under the skin under the skin. However, this ability leaves with age. In addition, the sunshine is often not enough due to our geographical location or due to overwhelming stay in closed rooms. Because hormonal changes in women from about 45 And in men from about 60 years can lead to an accelerated bone reduction, the optimal and effective recycling of calcium comes to a supporting role. Therefore, in particular, and in case of already existing osteoporosis also to ensure sufficient supply of vitamin D.
