The A-OXitive SERUM protective antioxidant serum is suitable for tired skin with a lack of radiance, a pale complexion, the first wrinkles and fine lines and an irregular complexion.

Indication
Environmental pollution, UV radiation, poor nutrition or stress - it seems almost impossible to avoid the triggers of oxidative stress. It increases the concentration of free radicals and makes the skin look old over time. That's why Eau Thermale Avène has developed the A-OXitive care range. It provides an effective anti-pollution effect during the day and an intensive detox effect at night to promote skin regeneration.

The A-OXitive SERUM Protective Antioxidant Serum, with its very light texture and its hypoallergenic, delicate fragrance (green tea and jasmine), with its anti-pollution action, smoothes and protects the skin from daily environmental stress and the effects of pollution. It is comparable to 15% pure vitamin C.

Active ingredients and mode of action of the product
For continuous defense against oxidative stress, the Protective Antioxidant Serum contains an antioxidant protection complex with:

Pro-vitamin E (pro-tocopherol^®), and pro-vitamin C (ascorbyl glucoside) a precursor of vitamin C. These two pro-vitamins have a synergistic effect, i.e. they mutually maintain their antioxidant effect: Is the of Pro-Vitamin E - after it has neutralized a free radical - is used up, it is regenerated by Pro-Vitamin C. Together they form a stable protective shield throughout the day and prevent free radicals from reacting with the unsaturated fatty acids in the cell membranes.

In addition to its antioxidant and cell-protecting effect, pro-vitamin E also protects against increased melanin formation and ensures a radiant, even complexion.

Pro-vitamin C has a long-lasting antioxidant effect and promotes collagen synthesis in the fibroblasts.

(Compared to pure vitamins, pro-vitamins are more stable to oxygen, light, heat and UV rays. And because they are released gradually and continuously, their potency and tolerability is higher.)

The texture has anti-pollution properties and offers protection against environmental pollution by forming a barrier (vegetable glycerine forms a hydrophilic film together with lipid and moisturizing components on the skin's surface), which repels the fine particles of fine dust etc.

Application
