1. What is a double heart ginkgo 240 mg and what is it used for?

Doppelherz Ginkgo 240 mg contain a dry extract of ginkgo-biloba leaves. Doppelherz Ginkgo 240 mg are a herbal medicine for improving age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life with easier dementia.

2. What should you pay attention to 240 mg before taking a double heart Ginkgo?

Doppelherz Ginkgo 240 mg must not be taken,

• if they are allergic to Ginkgo-Biloba extract or one of the other ingredients of this medicine mentioned in Section 6.
• during pregnancy.

Warnings and Precautions:

Taking Doppelherz Ginkgo 240 mg along with other medicines:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you take other medicines, recently taken other medicines or intend to take other medicines. This also includes drugs that you bought without prescription. Ginkgo can influence the mode of action of other medicines. Therefore do not take this medicine, before consulting your doctor:

• If they are blood clotting-inhibiting medicines (eg Phenprocoumon and Warfarin) or thrombocyte aggregation inhibitors (eg. B. Clopidogrel, acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines) take
• If you take Dabigatran
• If you take Nifedipine

Simultaneous intake of ginkgo-biloba preparations and efavirenz is not recommended; Plasma concentrations of efavirenz can be reduced.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suspect to be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Since there are individual indications that ginkgo-containing preparations could increase bleeding, this medicine may not be taken during pregnancy (See section 2. "Doppelherz Ginkgo 240 mg must not be taken"). This medicine should not be used during lactation, as there are no sufficient investigations. It is not known if the ingredients of the extract go into breast milk.

Driving and ability to operate machines:
Your doctor will tell you if your illness allows you to drive and use machines. There were no sufficient studies on the impact on the ability to drive and use machines.

Further precautions:
This product contains lactose and glucose. please take Doppelherz Ginkgo 240 mg only after consulting with your doctor if you are known to suffer from any intolerance to certain sugars.

3. How to take a double heart ginkgo 240 mg?

Always take this medicine exactly after consultation with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose is for adults and elderly patients 1/2 Doppelherz Ginkgo 240 mg twice daily or 1 Doppelherz Ginkgo 240 mg once a day. The twice daily intake should take place in the morning and in the evening, with a once daily use in the morning or in the evening. The tablet can be shared in the same doses.

Application in children and adolescents:
There is no relevant indication for children and adolescents.

Special patient groups:
There are no data for dosing in the case of restricted kidney or liver function.

Type of application:
Doppelherz Ginkgo 240 mg should be taken orally. Do not take the tablets lying on the back. The tablets should be swallowed as a whole (not chewed) with liquid, best with a glass of drinking water. The intake can be done independently of meals.

Application duration:
The treatment should be at least 8 weeks. If after 3 Months have no improvement of the symptoms occurred or the disease symptoms are enhanced by the doctor to check whether the continuation of treatment is still justified.

This medicinal product does not require special storage conditions. Keep this medicine inaccessible to children. What Doppelherz Ginkgo 240 mg included:
The active ingredient is Ginkgo-Biloba leaves dry extract. A film tablet contains 240 mg of quantified, refined dry extract from ginkgo-biloba leaves (35 - 67: 1), Extractant: acetone 60% (m / m). The extract is quantified 22.0 - 27.0% flavonoids calculated as flavonol glycosides, 2.8 - 3.4% ginkgolide A, B and C, 2.6 - 3.2% bilobalide and contains no more than 5 ppm ginkglian acids.

The other ingredients are:
Tablet core: Croscarmello sodium, high-disperses silica, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, spray-dried glucose syrup.
Filmment: Macrogol 3350, polyvinyl alcohol, talc, titanium dioxide E171, iron (III) hydroxide oxide x H2O E172.
