Countergene

• When are you not allowed to use the medicine?
  • Please ask your doctor if you may apply the medicine if the following information applies to you: known hypersensitivity to pyrethrum extract or synthetic pyrethrine from the allethrin type.
  • Do not apply the medicine to infected or damaged skin, not on mucous membranes or in the area of the eyes (e.g. when the eyelash is infested).
  • Treat infants only under medical supervision.

• How much and how often should you use the medicine?
  • Head lice:
    • An important prerequisite for a perfect effect of the medicine is the complete wetting of scalp and hair. Therefore, the dry hair of its abundance should be thoroughly soaked with the medicine and massaging. With long hair, the overall content of a 75 ml bottle is required for this, about half in short hair. The liquid is allowed to act for at least 30 minutes to a maximum of 45 minutes. Then the hair is rinsed thoroughly with warm water, as in the use of shampoo and combed out with a fine -grid comb to remove the killed nisses. After 8 - 12 days, control should be carried out to secure the success of the treatment, i.e. to determine whether all lice and nisses were recorded when using the medicine. If lice or living nits are found again, the treatment must be repeated.
    • Because of the slight overcoming of the lice, it is advisable to treat all of the family with the medicine, even if lice were only found in one person. Treat toddlers with a maximum of 25 ml and leave them under supervision during treatment.
  • Filz lice:
    • You bring plenty of medicines to the affected areas and wash thoroughly with warm water after 30 to 45 minutes. Here, too, a repetition of treatment after 8 - 12 days is recommended.
  • Clothing lice:
    • Increased items of clothing must be stored by suitable procedures. To support this measure, the hairy parts of the body are treated with the medicine for half an hour in the way described and then washed thoroughly with warm water.
  • All indications:
    • Treat toddlers with a maximum of 1/3 of the bottle content of a 75 ml bottle (= 25 ml) and leave them under supervision during treatment. With pack size 250 ml, please use the included dosing cup.

 

• Which application errors do you have to avoid?
  • Do not bring in the eye or apply in the area of eyes, nose and mouth.
  • With multiple use on the same treatment day or daily use over several days, skin dryness, itching, redness and increased scalding of the scalp may occur.

 

• What should be done if the medicine has been used or swallowed internally?
  • Rinse your mouth with plenty of water immediately. Find your doctor or pharmacist immediately and show him the pack or contact the nearest consultation for poisoning cases.

  • Avoid contact with the eyes because mucosal irritation can occur.

 

Pregnancy

• What do you have to consider during pregnancy and lactation?
  • In the case of headlass infestation, the medicine should only be used in the first three months of pregnancy and during breastfeeding after a strict indication. From decades of experience in humans in humans, there has been no suspicion of damaging effect on the unborn child or to a transition to breast milk. In the case of clothing louse or felt lusciation during pregnancy, the medicine should not be used due to insufficient experience in the event of large-scale application and possible local effects.
