Field of use

• The active ingredient of the preparation is permethrin.
• Permethrin belongs to the active ingredient group of the so -called pyrethrine, medium against parasites.
• The medicine is a solution for one -off external treatment of the scalp hair when infestation with head lice (pediculus capitis).

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used
  • if you are allergic to permethrin, other pyrethrine or one of the other components of the drug.

dosage

• Always apply this medicine as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• As a rule, a one -time application of the drug is sufficient.
• For treatment, the hair must be soaked in the solution.
• The amount required for this depends on the hair for a short hair: about 25 ml is enough for short hair, about 50 ml is required for longer hair, with very long and dense hair, more (up to 150 ml in adults and children from 4 years).
• Children up to 3 years
  • After the completed 2nd month of life up to the age of 3, do not apply more than 25 ml in children.
• If the uses are complied with, treatment success is usually achieved by a one -time application. If lice living lice are found after 7-10 days of treatment, treatment with permethrin should be repeated. If living lice are found after 14-20 days, the treating doctor should be consulted to check suitable alternative treatment options.
• In the case of stubborn epidemics, the simultaneous treatment of all members of a community (school class, kindergarten group) is often useful, even if not all members have symptoms.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Infectopedicul is too strong or too weak.

• If you have used a larger amount of the drug than you should:
  • In the event of external use, overdose symptoms by the active ingredient permethrin are not to be feared.
  • The medicine is not suitable for full -body application, otherwise symptoms of symptoms can occur, especially in small children.
  • After accidental or intended intake, a doctor should be consulted as soon as possible who will decide on how to proceed.
  • Notes for the doctor in the event of a misuse (intake): The focus is on the risk of substances that are contained as solvents. With regard to the rapid absorption, small children should be deducted from a nutritional probe in the first hour after accidental intake. In adults, gastric flushing can be carried out within 1 - 2 hours. The use of emetics or activated carbon is not recommended.

Taking

  • Make sure that the preparation does not get into aquariums and terrariums.

  • There are no special precautions required.

Pregnancy.

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using/taking this medicine.
• Pregnancy
  • Experiences with the use of permethrin in pregnant women gave no indication of harmful effects. For precautionary reasons, you should not use the medicine during pregnancy, unless your doctor recommends it.
• Breastfeeding.
  • Permethrin, the active ingredient, can go into breast milk. For precautionary reasons, you should take a breastfeeding break of 3 days after use.
