Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken:
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against triprolidin hydrochloride 1 H2O, pseudoephedrinhydrochloride, one of the other components or against adrenergic substances
  • during pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • of children under the age of 12 and adults over 60 years
  • in the case of cardiac arrhythmias (tachyarrhythmia)
  • in the case of overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism)
  • if you had a stroke with brain hemorrhage (hemorrhagic stroke) in the history or if you at the same time apply other medicines such as bromocriptine, pergolid, lisurid, cabergolin, ergotamine, dihydroergotamine or any other active ingredient to swell the nasal mucosa (phenylpropanolamine, phenylephrin ... ). Because the combination of these medicines with the active ingredient pseudoephedrine can increase the risk of getting a hemorrhagic stroke.
  • in the case of prostate enlargement and dysfunction of the urinary bladder
  • in the case of severe liver or kidney dysfunction
  • with increased blood pressure, since rhinopont combi tablets have blood pressure -enhancing properties
  • with severe coronary heart disease
  • with simultaneous treatment with certain mood -enhancing agents (e.g. Monoaminooxidase inhibitors) or with Furazolidone and Linezolid, even if this treatment was carried out in the previous two weeks
  • with increased intraocular pressure
  • from patients with an increased risk of QT time extensions (certain change in the heart rhythm that can be determined in the EKG) such as: B. Patients with clinical-relevant heart disease, congenital long-QT syndrome or blood salts disorders.

dosage

• Always take the preparation exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is
  • for young people from 12 years and adults up to 60 years 3 times a day 1 tablet.
  • Children under the age of 12 and adults over the age of 60 should not be treated with this preparation.
  • In patients who observe a tired effect after taking the preparation, a one -time evening gift of 1 tablet can also be sufficient.

• Dauer of the application
  • The intake should not be continued after the symptoms subsided. The duration of treatment is about 3 to 5 days with acute runny nose. With allergic or vasomotor runny nose, a treatment period of about 10 days is recommended.
  • If the upper respiratory tract has decreased, treatment can be continued with an antihistaminic in allergic runny nose, if necessary.
  • The recommended dose and duration of the intake should not be exceeded.

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should

  • As with other substances that stimulate the central nervous system, abuse was also observed with pseudoephedrin hydrochloride.
