Prospan Coughing Liquid (pack size: 200 ml) serves to improve the symptoms in chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases; Acute inflammation of the airways cough with the side effect.

Mode of action

Prospan® cough liquid is particularly suitable for acute cough and chronic bronchial scrackung by adults. The coughing liquid is noticeably strong: it loosens the stuck mucus, which makes it easier to cough up and also expands narrowed bronchi. Prospan® relieves the cough and fight the inflammation.

5 ml of liquid from Prospan cough liquid (pack size: 200 ml) contains: Active ingredient: 35 mg dry extract made of ivy leaves (5 - 7.5: 1). Extract: Ethanol 30 % (m/m). Other ingredients: Potassium sorbate (Ph.EUR.) (Conservative), hydration (Ph.EUR.), Xanthan Gummi, Sorbitol solution 70% (crystallizing) (Ph.Eur.), Aroma substances, levomenthol. 5 ml of liquid contain 1.926 G Sorbitol (Ph.Eur.) (Sugar exchanges) = 0.16 BE.

Contradictions

The medicine must not be taken if they are hypersensitive to the effective component or one of the other components of the drug.

dosage

Application recommendation of Prospan cough liquid (pack size: 200 ml): Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:

Children from 6 to 11 years: 2 times a day 5 ml
Adults and adolescents from the age of 12: 3 times a day 5 ml

Use to take with attached measuring cup (5 ml marking). Shake the bottle well before each use

Taking

The liquid should be taken in the morning, (at noon) and undiluted in the evening.
