OneTouch Ultra Plus test strips

Before using the OneTouch blood glucose meter to perform a control solution test, carefully read the instructions for use and the package inserts of the various system components.OneTouch control solution is used to check that the blood glucose monitoring system and test strips are working properly together and that the blood glucose test has been performed correctly.

When you should perform a control solution test:

• after opening a new tube of test strips.
• if you suspect that the meter or test strips are not working properly.
• if you have repeatedly received unexpected blood glucose readings.
• if the meter has been dropped or damaged.

To perform a control solution test with your OneTouch Ultra Plus Flex blood glucose monitoring system, use only OneTouch Ultra Plus control solutions (medium or high range).After applying the OneTouch control solution to the test strip, the blood glucose meter will count down until the test is complete.The result of the test with OneTouch control solution must be within the range printed on the test strip tube.If the result with the control solution is outside the expected range, repeat the test with a new test strip.

Caution:
If you continue to get results outside the range printed on the control solution tube when using the control solution, do not continue to use the blood glucose meter, the test strips, or the control solution.
