Area of application

Folio 2 basic contains four important ingredients: folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin D3 and iodine.

Folio 2 basic (Phase 2) provides the ideal amount of folic acid with 400 micrograms of folic acid from the 13th week of pregnancy until the end of breastfeeding.The vitamin is particularly needed because it plays a role in cell division and contributes to the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy.

The Folio 2 basic tablets combine folic acid with 9 micrograms of vitamin B12.The two vitamins are dependent on each other in the methylation cycle, so an adequate vitamin B12 intake is just as necessary as an adequate folic acid status.

Vitamin D3 supports the maintenance of normal bones and muscle functions and contributes to a normally functioning immune system.Folio 2 basic contains 20 micrograms of vitamin D3.

Last but not least, Folio 2 basic contains 150 micrograms of iodine.As a central component of thyroid hormones, iodine is essential for their production and contributes to normal thyroid function.Iodine also helps the nervous system and energy metabolism function normally.

If additional iodine cannot be consumed for medical reasons, the product Folio 2 basic is available iodine-free.

Recommended dosage of Folio 2 Basic film-coated tablets:

The application period for Folio 2 basic begins with the 13th week of pregnancy and extends until the end of breastfeeding.

Folio 2 basic (Phase 2) is suitable for providing pregnant and breastfeeding women with the necessary vitamins folic acid (B9), vitamin B12, vitamin D3 and the mineral iodine.One Folio 2 basic tablet contains 400 micrograms of folic acid (B9), 9 micrograms of vitamin B12, 20 micrograms of vitamin D3 and 150 micrograms of iodine.

The use of all Folio products in the practical click dispenser is simple and uncomplicated.One mini-tablet per day is taken whole with a little liquid during a meal or snack.If iodine cannot be consumed for medical reasons, the product Folio 2 basic is available iodine-free.

Note:
If necessary, Folio 2 basic can also be taken together with Folio nausema.
