Application

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the usual dose is:
Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over (approx. 43 kg): 2 hard capsules as a single dose.The total daily dose is 2 hard capsules 3 times daily.

Please take the hard capsules whole with meals with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water with 200 ml).

In principle, there is no time limit on the duration of use.If the symptoms increase or other unclear symptoms occur, you should consult a doctor.

Notes

Contains soy proteins and 7.8 mg ethanol (alcohol) per capsule.

ESSENTIALE® Capsule 300 mg must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to phospholipids from soybeans, soy proteins, peanuts or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

It is not intended for use in children under 12 years of age.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

• This is a herbal medicine for liver diseases.
• It is used to improve subjective symptoms, such as loss of appetite, feeling of pressure in the right upper abdomen, liver damage caused by liver-damaging substances as well as poor nutrition (toxic-nutritive liver damage) and chronic liver inflammation (hepatitis).

ESSENTIALE for supportive treatment of fatty liver disease contains:

The active ingredient is:
Deoiled enriched phospholipids from soybeans.
1 Hard capsule contains 300 mg deoiled, enriched
Phospholipids from soybeans.The phospholipids
are quantified to 73 - 79% phosphatidylcholine,
contain up to 7% phosphatidylethanolamine and
less than 0.5% phosphatidylinositol.

The other components are:
Ethanol 96%, hard fat, soybean oil (Ph. Eur.), hydrogenated castor oil, ethyl vanillin, 1-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethanone, all-rac-α-tocopherol, gelatin, dyes E 171, 172, sodium dodecyl sulfate, purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Recommended use of ESSENTIALE for supportive treatment of fatty liver disease:

take 2 hard capsules whole 3 times a day with meals with sufficient liquid.From 12 years.The use of this medicine does not replace the avoidance of causes that damage the liver (e.g. poor diet, alcohol).

Intake

• Please take the hard capsules whole with meals with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water [200 ml]).

Patient information

• Particular caution is required when taking the preparation:
  • if the symptoms increase or other unclear symptoms occur.In this case you should consult a doctor.
  • The use of this medicine does not replace avoiding the causes that damage the liver (e.g. alcohol).
  • In the case of chronic inflammation of the liver (hepatitis), supportive therapy with this medicine is only justified if an improvement in the symptoms can be seen.
  • Children:
    • There are no sufficient studies on the use of the medicine in children.
    • It should therefore not be used in children under 12 years of age

 

• Ability to drive and use machines:
  • No special precautions are required.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have one,
if you become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
To date, there has been no evidence of widespread use of soybeans as food
for risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding.There are no sufficient investigations
before.Therefore, the use of the drug is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Studies in animals have no effect on male or female reproductive ability
shown.
