Solution for use in the oral cavity
Active ingredient: chlorhexidine bis(D-gluconate).
Areas of application: Antiseptic solution. for a temporary reduction in the number of germs in the mouth; to support the healing phase after periodontal surgery by inhibiting plaque formation; for temporary supportive treatment of bacterial inflammation of the gums (gingivitis); with limited oral hygiene.
Warning: Contains peppermint flavor and macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate (Ph. Eur.). Pharmacy only.

Chlorhexamed FORTE alcohol-free 0.2% is an antiseptic mouthwash that is used for temporary, supportive therapy in bacterial gingivitis. It fights inflammatory bacteria in 60 seconds and reduces bacterial build-up by forming a protective film on teeth, gums and oral mucosa. It protects the teeth from excessive plaque formation for up to 12 hours and thus helps with gingivitis.

Application:
Use Chlorhexamed exactly as described in the package leaflet or as recommended by your dentist.

The following applies to adults and children over the age of 12:
Rinse the oral cavity with 10 ml Chlorhexamed FORTE alcohol-free 0.2% for one minute twice a day - preferably in the morning and evening after meals and brushing your teeth - and then spit out the medicine. Do not rinse with water and do not swallow the solution. Do not use more than the stated maximum amount. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 should only use Chlorhexamed FORTE alcohol-free 0.2% after consulting a doctor or pharmacist. Chlorhexamed FORTE alcohol-free 0.2% must not be used by children under the age of 6 years.

Good to know:
By moving the solution around in your mouth, most of the oral mucosa comes into contact with the active ingredient. In this way, harmful bacteria can be attacked over a large area.

Background:
Active substance chlorhexidine. The proven active ingredient chlorhexidine bis (D-gluconate), abbreviated to chlorhexidine, is a well-researched antibacterial agent that is used in the oral cavity. In Germany, chlorhexidine has been used in this area for 40 years now. Chlorhexidine is caustic (kills bacteria in 60 seconds), defensive (reduces bacterial adhesion by forming a protective film on teeth, gums and oral mucosa), persistent (protects teeth from excessive plaque build-up for up to 12 hours)

Ingredients
The wethe active substance is chlorhexidine bis(D-gluconate). 100 ml solution contains 0.2 g chlorhexidine bis(D-gluconate). The other ingredients are: Peppermint flavor, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate (Ph. Eur.), glycerol, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing) (Ph. Eur.) and purified water.
