Area of application

Cefacur hard capsules are a food supplement with a highly bioavailable curcumin complex, vitamin D, and vitamin C. 3 capsules contain: 810 mg curcumin complex, 800 IU equivalent to 20 μg vitamin D3, 20 mg vitamin C.

Cefacur® contributes to the normal function of the immune system with vitamin D and vitamin C. Vitamin C also supports normal collagen formation for normal cartilage function and the protection of cells from oxidative stress. The curcumin complex consists of a protective starch ring (= gamma-cyclodextrin) around the curcumin molecules, thus enabling significantly better bioavailability of the curcumin compared to a conventional turmeric extract.

Curcumin and other curcuminoids are the particularly valuable biological components of the spice plant Curcuma longa, also known as turmeric, yellow ginger, or simply turmeric. Turmeric has been used in a variety of ways in Asia for centuries and is an essential component of traditional medicine there.In Germany, curcumin is also increasingly becoming the focus of scientific interest and is now considered one of the most intensively researched natural substances.To improve the body's absorption of the fat-soluble curcumin, a complex has been developed that embeds the fat-soluble curcumin molecules in a protective starch ring (gamma-cyclodextrin) and demonstrably enables significantly higher curcumin absorption compared to a conventional turmeric extract.The curcumin complex is transported unchanged through the stomach to the upper gastrointestinal tract.There, the curcumin molecules are absorbed by the body, and the starch ring is broken down into maltose, some maltotriose, and glucose.

Cefacur® - High Curcumin Bioavailability + Vitamin D + Vitamin C
The curcumin complex contained in Cefacur® cellulose capsules enables high curcumin absorption without the additional use of excipients such as polysorbates or the potentially mucosa-irritating piperine (pepper extract).Three Cefacur® capsules per day provide at least 121.5 mg of curcuminoids and an additional 800 IU of vitamin D3 and 20 mg of vitamin C. Turmeric preparations can stimulate bile flow.People with bile duct disorders (e.g., gallstones), as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women, should consult their doctor before taking this product.The cellulose capsules are suitable for vegetarians.
