Bisacodyl ADGC® laxative

Bisacodyl ADGC® Laxans is a laxative from the triarylmethane group, which means that on the one hand less water is removed from the stool and on the other hand more water and electrolytes reach the intestine.The stool becomes softer and intestinal movement is stimulated.

Application

Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and children over 6 years take 1 to 2 tablets in the evening as needed.The dose should not exceed 0.3 mg bisacodyl per kilogram of body mass.The onset of effect occurs after 6 to 10 hours.The recommended maximum daily dose should not be exceeded.

Take Bisacodyl ADGC® Laxans 5 mg gastro-resistant tablets whole with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of water, but no milk).

Prolonged use of Bisacodyl ADGC® Laxative should not be carried out without medical advice.Any intake of bisacodyl beyond short-term use leads to an increase in intestinal sluggishness.

Notes

Bisacodyl ADGC® Laxans contains lactose.

Children over 6 years of age and adults take 1 to 2 tablets of Bisacodyl ADGC Laxative in the evening with plenty of liquid if the effect is planned for the next morning.

Bisacodyl ADGC® Laxative is not suitable for children under 6 years.

1 tablet contains 5 mg of the active ingredient bisacodyl.

The other components are:

Tablet core: pregelatinized corn starch, lactosemonohydrate (60 mg), microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K 30, talc, magnesium stearate.

Tablet shell: Methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1) dispersion 30% (Ph.Eur.), propylene glycol, talc, titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

Bisacodyl ADGC Laxans 5 mg must not be used if you are allergic to the active ingredient bisacodyl or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

For complaints such as:B. Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever.These can be signs of a serious illness (intestinal narrowing with impaired intestinal passage, intestinal obstruction, acute inflammation in the abdominal area, acute abdominal pain that requires surgical treatment such as appendicitis).If you experience such symptoms, you should seek medical advice immediately.

Dosage

Recommended use of Bisacodyl ADGC Laxans 5 mg:

Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and children over six years of age take 1 to 2 tablets in the evening as needed.The dose should not exceed 0.3 mg bisacodyl per kilogram of body weight.The onset of effect occurs after 6 to 10 hours.The recommended maximum daily dose should not be exceeded.

The tablets are swallowed whole with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of water, but no milk).
