Field of use

• The preparation is a tear substitute for local application on the eye
• The drug is used for symptomatic treatment of drying out the horn and conjunctiva as a result of tear secretion disorders due to local or systemic (relevant) underlying diseases as well as in the event of a lack of eyelid and hard contact lenses for follow-up during wear.

30 mg dexpanthenol
14 mg poly (vinyl alcohol)
Potassium dihydrogen phosphate auxiliary material (+)
Calium monohydrogen phosphate Hedge substance (+)
Water, cleaned auxiliary material (+)
Benzalkonium chloride HILDUFT (+)

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used,
  • if you are allergic to dexpanthenol, polyvinyl alcohol or one of the other components of the preparation
  • while you wear soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses

dosage

Application recommendation of siccaProtect eye drops (pack size: 3x10 ml):

• Always apply this medicine as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is up to 6 times a day a drop in the conjunctive sac
• Spread the applications of the preparation evenly throughout the day.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.
• Application in children and adolescents
  • Use in children and adolescents has not yet been examined.

• Duration of treatment
  • The exact duration of treatment depends on the individual clinical picture and is determined by the doctor. In general, treatment with tear substances such as the preparation is permanent therapy.

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • no special measures are required. Continue your treatment in the usual dose.

• If you have forgotten the application,
  • do not apply the double dose if you have forgotten the previous application, but collect the application as quickly as possible, and then dose with the same amount and at the same time interval/rhythm as stated above or prescribed by your doctor.

• If you cancel the application
  • take consultation with your doctor or pharmacist.

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• Drip the drops into the conjunctiva bag.
• Eye drops should basically be used in such a way that contact of the droppers' tip with the eye or facial skin is avoided. Put your head back a little, pull the lower eyelid off a little from the eye and bring in a drop in the conjunctive sac by slight pressure on the bottle. Slowly close the Eyelid. After use, the bottle should be closed again carefully.
 

Patient information

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • You may not carry a vehicle immediately after using the preparation, because this medicine temporarily influences visual acuity even with intended use and thus the reaction capacity in road traffic.
  • You may then not temporarily operate tools or machines.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.

Hints

Miscellaneous

- Contact of the dripper with the eye or facial skin should be avoided.
- The eye drops must not be applied while wearing soft contact lenses, so they should be removed before each inlet and only used again after 15 minutes.
- In severe cases and in the case of long -standing local irritation, especially for wearers of hard contact lenses, regular ophthalmological control is necessary.
