Field of use

  • The drug contains the active ingredients ibuprofen, a non -steroidal anti -inflammatory medicine (NSAID), and pseudoephedrine, a vascular -narrowing medicine that is used to treat a nasal mucosa.
    • Ibuprofen has a pain -relieving and fever -lowering and reduces swelling.
    • Pseudoephedrin has a vascular -narrowing effect that causes the nasal mucosa to swell.
  • The medicine is used to symptomatic treatment of the crushing of mucous membranes of the nose and sinuses combined with headaches, fever and/or cold or flu-related pain.
  • It is used in adults and adolescents aged 15 and over.
  • Only apply this combination medicinal product if you have both a blocked nose as well as pain or fever. If you only have one of these symptoms, do not apply this medicine.
  • If you don't feel better or worse after 5 days, contact your doctor.

Contradictions

  • The medicine must not be taken:
    • if you are allergic to ibuprofen, pseudoephedrine, or one of the other components of this drug;
    • if you are younger than 15 years;
    • when you are pregnant or breastfeeding;
    • if you ever have an allergic reaction (such as breathing, worsening of asthma, an itchy running nose, a facial swelling or a nettle) after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other pain relievers, fever -lowering or anti -inflammatory drugs;
    • if you have a stomach ulcer or have it previously existed;
    • if you used to have perforation or bleeding in connection with the intake of NSAIDS;
    • if you suffer from severe liver or renal failure;
    • if you suffer from severe heart failure;
    • if you suffer from severe cardiovascular or circulatory problems (heart disease, high blood pressure, angina, fast heartbeat), a thyroid overactive, diabetes or a pheochromocytom (a tumor of the adrenal gland);
    • if you have suffered a heart attack;
    • if you have insufficiently controlled high blood pressure;
    • if you have suffered a stroke or you have an increased risk of stroke;
    • if they had seizures in the past;
    • if you have unexplained blood diseases;
    • if you suffer from a glaucoma (increased intraocular pressure);
    • if you have complaints when urinating as a result of prostate problems;

dosage

  • Always take the medicine exactly as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • The recommended dose is:
    • Adults and adolescents aged 15 and over take 1 film -coated tablet, if necessary every 4 - 6 hours. In the case of more pronounced symptoms, take 2 film -coated tablets, if necessary every 6 - 8 hours.
    • The daily maximum dose of 6 film -coated tablets must never be exceeded.
  • Application in children and adolescents
    • Do not apply to children and adolescents under the age of 15.

 

  • Duration of treatment
    • This medicine is only intended for a short -term application. You should take the lowest dose about the shortest of your symptoms. Do not take the medicine for more than 5 days.
    • If the symptoms remain or worsen, contact your doctor.

 

  • If you have taken a larger amount than you should
    • Immediately get medical advice if you or someone accidentally have or has accidentally taken more than the recommended amount of the drug.

 

  • If you have forgotten the intake
    • Do not take the double amount if you have forgotten the prior intake.

Taking

  • The medicine is only to take.

    • Medicines such as this can be associated with a slightly increased risk of a heart attack ("myocardial infarction") or stroke. The risk increases with the dose and the duration of treatment. The recommended dose or treatment duration must not be exceeded.
    • If you have heart problems or have once had a stroke or believe that there is a risk that these diseases could occur (e.g. if you have high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol levels), you should take your treatment with your Doctor or pharmacistrechen.

    • Children and adolescents

Pregnancy

  • The medicine must not be taken during pregnancy or lactation. The active ingredients ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine can cause serious damage to the unborn child. It has been shown that the active ingredients appear in breastfed infants from women who have taken these active ingredients.
