Capstar 11.4 mg tablets for cats and small dogs. One tablet contains: Active substance: 11.4 mg nitenpyram. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Other ectoparasiticides for systemic use. Areas of application: Capstar 11.4 mg: Treatment of flea infestations (C. felis) in cats and dogs Contraindications: None known. Side effects: In the first hour after the administration of CAPSTAR , pets may experience increased itching. This effect is caused by the fleas reacting to the medicine. On very rare occasions, this will show as transient hyperactivity, panting, barking, and excessive grooming/licking. Very rarely, transient neurological symptoms such as muscle tremors, ataxia and convulsions have been reported. Pharmacy only. Many animals will be infested by these pesky insects at least once in their lives - usually through contact with other infested animals. The insidious thing is that fleas multiply particularly quickly under optimal conditions and a real plague of fleas can develop after a short time. Capstar^® tablets for small dogs up to 11 kg and cats with the active ingredient nitenpyram act directly and quickly against adult fleas on dogs and cats. The rapid onset of action begins just 30 minutes after administration and ensures that the fleas on the animal are killed. After 6 hours almost all fleas on the dog or cat are dead. This can prevent adult fleas from being able to suckle blood and lay eggs, which can then spread to the wider area.

Capstar^® is particularly easy to use: just one tablet is sufficient to treat an acute flea infestation in a cat or a small dog weighing 1 kg to 11 kg - ideally with the food.

Capstar^® is well tolerated and can also be fed to nursing kittens or bitches. Even puppies from the 4th week and 1 kg body weight can be quickly freed from the annoying flea infestation.

So I have to say, if my cat has fleas, the tablets help quickly, after 1-2 days my cat is flea-free.

Great product. Works very quickly. However, most of the time one tablet is not enough. No long-term effect, sometimes difficult to give (cat spits out tablet several times). Tablet must be well hidden in treats, food, etc.
