1. What is Calcium D3 ratiopharm and what is it used for?

Calcium D3- ratiopharm Contains the substances important for bone formation mineral calcium and vitamin D. Calcium D3- ratiopharm It is used for the prevention and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiency states in the elderly and as a calcium and vitamin D supplement to a specific treatment of osteoporosis.

2. What should you prior to taking Calcium D3 ratiopharm note?

Calcium D3- ratiopharm may not be taken:
  • if they are allergic to calcium carbonate, vitamin D or one of the other ingredients of this medicine mentioned in section 6.
  • if you have a severe impairment of renal function.
  • if you have too high calcium levels in the blood or urine.
  • if you are suffering from renal stones.
  • if you have calcium deposits in the kidneys.
  • if you have too high vitamin D levels in the blood.


Warnings and Precautions:
Please talk to your doctor, pharmacist or medical personnel before you calcium D3 ratiopharm take in:
  • if you receive a long-term treatment, especially if you additionally diuretics (for the treatment of hypertension or edema) or heart glycosides (for the treatment of heart disease) take in.
  • if you suffer from kidney problems (signs of restricted kidney function) or to pronounced kidney stone formation.
  • if you suffer from sarcoidosis (a disease of the immune system that can lead to increasing the vitamin D mirror in the body).
  • if they suffer from osteoporosis and their movement is limited.
  • if you apply other vitamin D-containing preparations. The additional use of calcium and vitamin D should only be carried out under tight-care-of-medical supervision.


Children and adolescents:
Calcium D3- ratiopharm is not for use in children and adolescents Vornay.

Taking Calcium D3 ratiopharm Together with other medicines:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you take other medicines, recently taken other medicines or intend to take other medicines. If you additionally take tetracycline (certain antibiotics), you should be at least 2 hours before or 4 - 6 hours after Calcium D3- ratiopharm take in. Taking Calcium D3 ratiopharm Together with food and drinks:
This medicine can be taken independently of the meals. Please note that oxalic acid (contained in spinach and rhubarb) and phytic acid (included in solid grain products) can reduce the calcium recording in the gut. Before and after the consumption of foods with a high content of oxal or phytic acid, they should not take calcium-containing medicines for 2 hours.

Pregnancy, lactation and reproductive capability:

3. How to take Calcium D3 ratiopharm?

Dosage:

4. Which side effects are possible?

  • Itching, rash or hives
  • Milk alkali syndrome (also burnnett syndrome, usually occurs at excessive calcium intake), the symptoms are more common urgency, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, unusual fatigue or weakness, along with increased calcium values in the blood and a renal impairment.


Unknown (frequency based on the available data not estimable):

What Calcium D3- ratiopharm contains
The active ingredients are: Calcium and Colecalciferol (Vitamin D3). Each chewing tablet contains 1,250 mg of calcium carbonate (corresponding to 500 mg calcium) and 4.4 mg colecalciferol dry concentrate (powder form) (corresponding to 11 micrograms colecalciferol = 440 I.e. Vitamin D3). The other ingredients are: starch, modified (corn), Sucrose, sodium ascorbate, medium-chain triglycerides, all-rac-a-tocopherol, high-dispenser silica, magnesium stearate, cornstarch, mannitol (E 421), aspartame (E 951), Orange aroma (contains maltodextrin, Arab rubber).
