Field of use

• The drug contains dry yeast from cultures of the defined tribe Saccharomyces cerevisiae Hansen CBS 5926 (in the med. Use also referred to as saccharomyces boulardii) in viable form and belongs to the group of diarrhea.
• To treat the complaints in acute diarrhea, also in the event of travel diarrhea and diarrhea under probe food.
• To prevent travel diarrhea.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken,
  • if you are allergic to yeast or one of the other components of this drug,
  • of immunosuppressed or hospitalized patients (due to serious illness or disturbed/weakened immune system),
  • from patients with central venally catheter

• Always take this medicine exactly as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Dosage
  • The recommended dosage is
    • For acute diarrhea:
      • Children between 6 months and 2 years:
        • 1 to 2 times a day 1 hard capsule
        • In children of this age group, treatment may only be carried out under medical supervision.
      • Children from 2 years, young people and adults:
        • 1 to 2 times a day 1 hard capsule
      • Infants under 6 months:
        • The application is not provided.
    • To prevent travel diarrhea
      • Young people aged 12 and over and adults:
        • 1 to 2 times a day 1 hard capsule starting 5 days before departure.
      • Children under the age of 12:
        • The application is not provided.

 

• Duration of the application
  • When treating the symptoms of acute diarrhea, taking over 4 to 7 days is usually sufficient.
  • To prevent travel diarrhea, the treatment should consistently be carried out over the entire travel time.

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • Poisoning with preparations from dry yeast have not yet become known.
  • If you have taken a larger amount than you should, please notify a doctor. This may decide on the necessary measures. The side effects listed below may occur.

 

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • If you have taken too little or have forgotten the intake, do not take twice the amount next time, but continue with taking it as prescribed by your doctor or described in the dosage instructions.

 

• If you cancel the intake
  • The intake can be interrupted or ended at any time, since stopping is usually harmless.

Taking

• To take.
• Please take the hard capsules in an unscrowed chew with sufficient liquid (e.g. a glass of water) before meals.
• To take the hard capsule in children under 6 years, open the hard capsule by pulling apart the capsule halves and stir in the content in food or liquid (room temperature).
• In the event of a probing food due to the tutorial, only the content of the capsules must be added to the nutrient solution.

  • Children and adolescents
    • To treat diarrhea, this medicine should not be taken by infants under 6 months for insufficient examinations for dosage and harmless.
    • Treating diarrhea in infants and toddlers requires consultation with the doctor.
    • To prevent travel diarrhea, this medicine should not be taken by children under the age of 12 for insufficient examinations.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • No restriction.

Pregnancy

• Security during pregnancy and breastfeeding was not sufficiently examined. For pregnant women and breastfeeding, taking is not recommended.
