Field of use

Voltaren Dolo 25 mg, excessive tablets with Diclofenac, 10 pcs. - The Voltarentablet with light to moderately severe pain.

1 Tablet of Voltaren Dolo 25mg (pack size: 10 pc) contains:

The active ingredient is: Diclofenac potassium 25 mg per covered tablet.

The other ingredients are: tricalcium phosphate, carboxymethylar stake sodium (type a), microcrystalline cellulose, iron (III) -Oxide (e 172), macrogol (8000), magnesium stearate, corn starch, povidone (k 30), sucrose, high-disperse silicium dioxide, talc , Titanium dioxide (E 171)

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, this product should not be used.
In the case of blood formation disorders of unclear cause, in the event of ulcers in the stomach or duodenum, in the case of symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding, in the event of a disease of the liver or kidney, this product must not be used for heart failure and in the last third of the pregnancy.
This preparation is not suitable for young people under the age of 14.

Application recommendation of Voltaren Dolo 25mg (pack size: 10 pc):

Voltaren Dolo 25mg tablets are suitable for light to moderately severe pain.

The recommended dose is:
For adults and adolescents from the age of 14: In the beginning, take 1 excess tablet, after which you can take tablet covered every 4 to 6 hours as required.
Take no more than 3 excess tablets within 24 hours.

Taking

• The covered tablets should be taken with sufficient liquid (e.g. a glass of water). In order to achieve the best possible effectiveness, the excessive tablets should not be taken to or immediately after eating.

Patient information

• Particular caution is required when taking it
  • for bleeding disorders or other blood diseases including certain congenital blood formation disorders (inducible porphyria);
  • for certain diseases of the immune system (systemic lupus erythematosus and mixed collagenoses);
  • in the case of gastrointestinal complaints or in the case of indications of gastrointestinal or intestinal ulcers or inflammatory bowel diseases (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease);
  • if you have suffered in the past after taking pain or rheumatism in the past;
  • with limited kidney or liver function;
  • in the case of high blood pressure or weakness in the heart (heart failure). A sign of this can be u. be swollen legs;
  • if you easily dehydrate (e.g. due to an illness, diarrhea or after larger surgical interventions);
  • if other pain or rheumatism;

  • Security in the gastrointestinal tract
    • Fast -releasing oral dosage forms of Diclofenac, such as this preparation, can have increased gastric intolerance, so particularly careful monitoring is required.
    • Bleeding of the gastrointestinal tract, ulcers and breakthroughs (perforations):
      • Bleeding of the gastrointestinal tract, ulcers and perforations, also with a fatal outcome, were reported among all NSAIDs. They occurred with or without prior warning symptoms or serious events in the gastrointestinal tract in the prehistory at any time of therapy.
      • The risk of the occurrence of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers and breakthroughs is higher with increasing NSAR dose, in patients with ulcers in the history, especially with the complications bleeding or breakthrough, and in older patients. These patients should begin treatment with the lowest available dose.
      • For these patients as well as for patients who need accompanying therapy with low-dosed acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) or other medicines that can increase the risk of gastrointestinal diseases, a combination therapy with gastric-protecting drugs (e.g. misoprostol or Proton pump inhibitors).
      • If you have a history of side effects on the gastrointestinal tract, especially at older age, you should report any unusual symptoms in the abdomen (especially gastrointestinal bleeding), especially at the beginning of the therapy. Caution is advisable if you get medicines that can increase the risk of ulcers or bleeding, e.g. B. Oral corticosteroids, anti-blood clotting drugs such as warfarin, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors that are used, among other things, to treat depressive moods, or thrombocyte aggregation inhibitors such as ASA.
      • If you have gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers under this preparation, the treatment must be discontinued.
      • In patients with a gastrointestinal disease in the prehistory (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease), caution should be used because their condition can deteriorate.
  • Effects on the cardiovascular system
    • Medicines such as this preparation may be associated with a slightly increased risk of heart attacks ("heart attack") or strokes.
    • Any risk is more likely with high doses and longer treatment. Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration of treatment (4 days).
    • If you have heart problems or a previous stroke or think that you could have a risk for these diseases (e.g. if you have high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol or smokers), you should discuss your treatment with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Skin reactions
    • Under NSAR therapy, serious skin reactions with redness and bladder formation, some with a fatal outcome, were reported (exfediative dermatitis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis/lyell syndrome). The highest risk of such reactions seems to exist at the beginning of therapy, since these reactions occurred in the majority of cases in the first month of treatment. At the first sign of rashes, mucosal lesions or other signs of a hypersensitivity reaction, the medicine should be discontinued and the doctor should be consulted immediately.
  • Older patients
    • In older patients, side effects occur more frequently after using NSAR, in particular bleeding and breakthroughs in the stomach and intestinal area, which may be life-threatening. Therefore, particularly careful medical monitoring is required in older patients.
  • Other information
    • At the same time, taking other NSAIDs, including so-called COX-2 inhibitors (cyclooxigenase-2-inhibitors), should be avoided.
    • Side effects can be reduced by using the lowest effective dose via the shortest period required for symptom control.
    • Heavy acute over sensationchief reactions (e.g. anaphylactic shock) are very rarely observed. At the first sign of a hypersensitivity reaction after taking/administration, the therapy must be canceled. The symptoms corresponding, medically required measures must be initiated by expert persons.
    • As a precaution, the coagulation status should be checked by the doctor, if you take medicinal products to inhibit blood clotting.
    • The medicine can temporarily inhibit the platelet aggregation. If you suffer from blood clotting disorders, the coagulation status should therefore be carefully monitored by the doctor.
    • If painkillers are not dosed for a long time, headaches can occur, which may not be treated by increased doses of the drug. Ask your doctor for advice if you often suffer from headache despite taking it.
    • In general, the habitual intake of pain relievers, especially when combining several pain relieving active ingredients, can lead to permanent kidney damage with the risk of kidney failure (analgesic nephropathy).

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • The active substance diclofenac can occasionally cause central nervous side effects such as tiredness, drowsiness, dizziness or occasional visual disturbances. Therefore, the ability to drive a motor vehicle and/or to operate machines can be restricted in individual cases. This applies even more in combination with alcohol.

Pregnancy

• Pregnancy
  • There are no sufficient experiences for humans about the safety of an application in pregnancy.
  • If pregnancy is determined during the application, the doctor must be notified.
  • You may only apply the medicine in the first and second thirds of pregnancy after consultation with your doctor.
  • In the last third of pregnancy, Diclofenac must not be used at birth due to an increased risk of complications for mother and child.
• Breastfeeding
  • Diclofenac passes into breast milk in small quantities. After ingestion, breastfeeding should be interrupted for about 4 hours and the milk formed up to that point should be rejected.
• Fertility:
  • This medicine belongs to a group of drugs (NSAID) that can affect the fertility of women. This effect is reversible after stopping the drug (reversible).
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using all drugs.

Hints

When taking other medication at the same time, their effect can be influenced and therefore a doctor should be consulted beforehand. If the symptoms continue to exist after 4 days, it is advisable to see a doctor.
