Field of use

With longer storage and heating, however, large vitamin C losses can occur. A vitamin C deficiency can be noticeable in fatigue, appetite loss, increased body temperature and increased infection. A rare, very heavy form of vitamin C deficiency is scurvy. Since vitamin C fulfills a lot of tasks in the body, it makes sense to compensate for an existing deficiency. Each hard capsule contains 0.05 g of carbohydrates (corresponding to 0.004 BE) Schellack, sucrose, corn starch, talc, vita acid (Ph. EUR.), Chinol ringing, titanium dioxide, gelatin.

Contradictions

Adults take 1 to 2 times a day 1 hard capsule,Vitamin C ratiopharm Retard 500 mg capsules (package size: 100 pc) 500 mg (corresponding to 500- 1000 mg of ascorbic acid) up to the abolition the symptoms. The hard capsules, retarded are taken with sufficient liquid. The duration of the application depends on the clinical picture and the laboratory diagnostic parameters.

Patient information

• Particular caution when taking the drug is required
  • if you suffer from kidney stones from oxalate and certain diseases in which too much iron is stored in the body (thalassemia, hemochromatosis, sideroblastic anemia). In this case, you may only take the preparation after consultation with your doctor.
  • if you suffer from an inherited disorder of the metabolism of the red blood cells (erythrocytic glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency). When taking high doses of vitamin C (more than 4 g daily), patients with erythrocytic glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency were used in individual cases.
